Tried about 20 different servers today after playing for the first time in months.

Cant believe how utterly **** it is.

Sat there sniping happily when a jeep lands on my head. shrug it off.
Move position, and it happens again. annoyed now.
spawn killed about 10 times - raging
Move position yet again. Artillery on me. Veins popping out my head.
spawn killed about 10 times - screaming abuse
Again, move, artillery on me. Feel like uninstalling the ****.

Im sick of either having jeeps land on my head, commanders using their infinate artillery strikes on a lone sniper, bunnyhopping, dolphin diving, or just generally being spawn killed as soon as I spawn.

Absolutely ******* *******.

Stop playing on crap servers.

It really doesn't happen on decent servers. Try the infantry only ones, they're normally the best.
 
yeaaa try servers that have voip or are squad ones :D because then everyone plays porperly and doesnt go for jeep kills :P and im sure they did something about the jeeps landing on u not being able to kill you didnt they?

Infantry only is a good mode of play? Last i checked the infantry combat in the game was a total joke and consisted of everyone playing a game of "hammer the prone key" and that was about all it consisted of, oh yeah and nade spam.

I agree with the OP, bf2 = joke is right. The game was ok at the start but as is always the way with fps games online, the little glitches and exploits people find out soon enough become the standard way to play.

bf2 died ages ago for me got bored with it after the desert conflict mod wasn't all that
 
to the OP - the answer to your predicamanet is simple - no one likes a sniper ;)

If the enemy commander has it in for you, dont sit there moaning about it. Jump in a jeep/boat/heli, go over to where he is and stab him one in the nads!

Gotta love the Snipers. I used play as either the assault or anti-tank kits, and there were several spots on each map, where if you were to lob a grenade, or launch an anti-tank missile into, you'd be guaranteed to kill someone sat there sniper-camping. The thing is though, it was usually the same person. I'd find myself killing the same guy over and over. Their impotent rage was hilarious:D

ok guys - stop jumping down the OP's throat - he does had a vlaid excuse for this. Unfortunately BF2 is pretty much the best game in its genre (i.e Online shooter with vehicles etc) and as such he has no other choice of game to choose from.

I completely and utterly agree with what he says, people bunny hop EVERYWHERE. Nades are spammed all over the damn play, the 15sec respawn time is painful and people hammering the prone key and getting miraculous ehad shots is often fustrating. Also, the guns are horifically inaccurate.

For those who say 'play better' - crawl out from your own arse please.

I downloaded the "core" last night which was 1.15gb, now when I go to join a server it says I dont have the maps?

Is there a seperate file for the maps or something stupid?
