It is really annoying as when someone is shooting at you, your oblivious to it!

The fix I have found is jump into then out of a vehicle, that sorts it for me.

It only happens every once in a while, but it is SO annoying.
 
yeah, it gets on my nerves for a bit but then i forget or get into a vehicle or die.
but it does seem to be random, its not even when youre near someone firing sometimes. its very weird

I constantly hear a gun firing, but it is always when someone is carrying that gun around me. Say a support man on my team is near me when the bug comes along, I will hear is PKM fire constantly until he moves away and the sound slowly fades. I know exactly when he comes back though, because I'll hear the gun again.

You can't even ask someone to attack a place which guarantees him a few points. What makes you think I could ask him to change his weapon?

yeah think they have I had a quick game yesterday and only like 20 updated servers... people change over quick!

I tried the 14meg patch and it complained it couldnt find my BF installed directory, so did the 380meg big patch and it worked just fine.
 
Anyone having trouble with the screenshots? I take one and look in my BF2 screenshots directory and it's taken 2 of each screenshot. :(
