whats the bf2 scene like now that 2142 is out ? still loads of servers to play on ?

i might reinstall it

Still the same smacktard idiots.

Still the same teamkillers for jets etc.

Still base raping etc.

Not as buggy now.

EA don't care anymore, they never did so yeah thats the same.

Not much has changed. Still many servers. The key is to find a good clan server and stick to it and you'll have an awesome time.

Yep, if you play on a clan server that is a good clan you have a high chance of having a good time.

Play on a pub server and you have 50:50 or lower. Chances are you will get tk'd, no teamwork from your team etc.

still a great game and fun to play, ok sure it has its problems and idiots but what game doesnt . Infantry Only servers are for me, the best to play on, fo' sure

I play loads and experience very little smacktard behaviour, most of my play is on public if not all of it. The last few months, well since the release of 2142 has seen skill levels rise and rise. Servers are still full and invariably the games are squad based games with full on team play.
Basically these days if you don't play in a squad and as a team you get slaughtered, you just cannot get away with running around on your own anymore.
64 man IO servers are my online gaming heaven.

I should add that there are still loads of servers up and even more players.

I have been playing BF2 on and off recently on public servers and for the most part have had a brilliant time. I tend to play medic and have had some wicked squads recently.

Though I am not disputing there are a few good servers and not getting killed by spawn raping tanks or deaths by arty is fun on INF only servers.

Is it just me or are the only servers out there Karkand? (with a very few exceptions, tending to be Jalalabad.)

Many are yes. Even my clan server has Karkand on heavy rotation. It's an awesome map, but damnit, it makes me look like a karkand whore on my played time

I know it won't happen now, but a good city PLA map would go down a treat.

I fail to see the point really. I mean base raping a certain point where the other team does have other places to spawn is fine, because its their own fault if they want to spawn there over and over just to be killed again, if its me I just spawn elsewhere.

But if a teams that lazy to do any teamwork they do deserve it, however, if a team only has one flag left that is capable, the other team tends to just hover outside of the flag not cap it and just maul it to death anything that spawns. I like to give the other team a chance, I prefer having longer rounds tbh.

Certain teams (with n00b commanders, no squads, lone-wolf players (e.g. flying off in heli alone and leaving 6 men on the carrier...) deserver to be base-raped though....

BF2 has got better since 2142, as most of the retards now play that.

I got BF2 last week, its a good game but I havent played it much, but it lives up to its reputation here.

The 'very first' thing I seen when I join a server was what was a Helicopter Spawn point, there must have been 10-15 guys jumping around it to be the pilot, after about 30seaconds of waching them and laughing it finaly spawned, one guy got in it, his team mates shot and killed him and fought more for it, then 10 seaconds later an enemy plane comes and drops a bomb and kills every single one of them including the helicopter.
They spammed the chat channel.

I laughed so hard.

i play both, enjoy both but prefer the maturity in 2142

Who's in a clan? What is the name? I play a lot, but normally on my own but love being in a squad, but it doesn't really work with unknowns.

Anyone recruiting? I am a Staff Sergeant and normally play either antitank or assault and sometimes medic/engineer/sniper.
