Hi i have never played bf2 ok shoot me! but seeing all the mods etc for it , how does gameplay/graphics compare with cod4?

since it was released around 2 years ago, does the new mods like project reality improve the graphics some way ?

cod4 in multiplay is ok but i would prefer a team based multiplay where you sweep clear an area etc and not have a enemy pop up behind you in a respawn! does bf2 mod project reality etc provide this? thanks sorry for all the Q`s

You can find the team work aspect in COD4 i'm sure. All depends on who you meet and getting into clans and all. Without that then any game is just a big shoot fest.

COD4 outdoes BF2.

Esp. with the later video cards.

From a looks point of view certainly.

That said, as a multiplayer game, BF2 knocks COD4 into the weeds with its sheer scope of player options (Engineer, Special Forces, Sniper, Commander etc etc etc)

Much as I like COD4 already I've found myself back on BF2 servers for multiplayer fun.

COD 4 is a very pretty frag fest on-line, little else, if the maps get bigger then I may re-consider, until then Its BF2 for me. :)

If you havent played BF2 before you will more than likely enjoy it, even if its only for a short period. We still play a version of Battlefield ( 1942,BFV and BF2 ) every friday night but to keep the interest you really do need to find a squad of friendly guys to mess about with.
BF2 is completely different to the likes of Cod4 which is more comparable to Counterstrike.
Project reality tries to make BF2 abit more realistic and some of the forest maps do look good comapred to the city maps on BF2.

Never got on with any of the BF series. Maps are too big and get a bit boring imo. Graphically its very good though, but not my cup of tea. Prefer the small maps and just shooting people.

lmao -1 it isnt but im not good at it

I can understand his view point, in BF2 it is ALL about air superiority,
most good jet pilots are in god mode as you cant realisticly kill them using land weapons
So the only counter is having your own good jet pilots that its not balance, its just ridiculous

On public servers more often than not the good jet pilots are usually on the same team for easy kills with sweet f'all you can do about it as everyone is fighting over the jets while they get bombed to hell every respawn

Project reality addresses this problem by givng the HW equivalent a stinger missile, and is a lot more realistic
COD4 is really just the arcade version of BF2 imo, but as a result it is more fun for pick up and play
Porject Reality (BF2) requires you learn a lot and has a steep learning curve but is very focused on squad play
As a result the game is made or broken by which server you play on

Value for money? COD4 without a doubt, the single player campaign is just amazing and the multiplayer is pretty good for what it is

If you want the realism of squad play and real teamwork then go for project reality, i personally cant stand the vanilla bf2 simply because of the air superiority issue

mhmm i understand from the jet point of view but the majority of maps there is no jets.......and the majority of servers....

so you stay clear of the jet servers :p ? think thats common sense

EDIT : I WANT SOMEONE TO MAKE A SOUND MOD FOR COD4 SO THE SOUNDS ARE FROM UNREAL TOURNEMENT!!!!!

*HEADSHOT*
*DOUBLE KILL*
*UNSTOPPABLE*
*GOD LIKE*

ECT ECT ECT

SORRY FOR THE CAPITALS BUT I HAVE CAPITAL RUSH!

Were comparing the games as a whole, if you have to disable things then game is broken no?
Which is also why i based it on project reality instead of vanilla BF2
At the end of the day as much as i hate them the game is pretty dull without the added dynamic of calling in air support, ofc this is only my opinion but PR i think has struck the right balance

So i stand by my point,
if you want pick up and play arcade fun, go with COD4
if you want real squad play and realism go with Project reality (bf2)

as i said i was answering the main question...... graphics

All that Guff

You never heard of Infantry only then. Also only weak players moan about other players skill. I hardly ever flew whilst on BF2 & have never been bothered by Jets etc

GFX wise it's a silly question to start with as BF2 is over two years old :p
Having said that no gamer should be without a copy of BF2 if only for the 64 man infantry only battles & Huge maps as they are sheer online gaming Heaven
