BF2142/EA login problem

BF2142 problem - update

Hi all,

Got BF2142 for xmas, just installed and tried to login in.

With BF2 i use my login name as MNuTz. I have tried to make a new account in that name but it says it already exists, however, if i try to retreive the password for the account it tells me the account doesnt exist. Im confused!

Can i use my BF2 login details? Are they registered to an account on the EA.com website?

Make a new account.

Your account is taken, happened to me tbh I think they just have old database still in store. Alough when I registered for BF2 Veterans program my nicks were taken too :confused:

There u go, your battlefield account is tied with the EA Forum, so just try and login there. I think if you get something wrong it will take you to a page where u can request they send your username or your password.

ok, im having trouble with the 'optimizing shaders' wjhen trying to enter a level.

Its currently been going about 10 mins and seems to have stopped under the A in 'settings Are changed'. Second time ive tried loading a level only for it to stop here!

Optimizing shaders takes ages, but 10 mins seems like a bit much unless you're exaggerating a crapload

Try loading a different map instead of the one you first chose, cerbere landing gives me trouble sometimes.

and dont minimize the game while it is optimising.

Had the same problem, had to create another Account.

But what I dont get is that some people have the BF2 icon within their stats. I own both games but as I created a new account I dont have the BF2 Icon.

Anyway of merging both accounts??

If they have BF2 by thier names, it means they messed around with the account settings and managed to get accepted in the BF Veterans program.

You had to use the Veteran program to enter your BF2 login and your BF2142 details to tie them together, but I think that program is over now.
