BF3 min/rec specs show as follows.......

I need a card for around £150 to run this on my system below. The 5770 will be removed obviously.

Any ideas? My current max-resolution is 1680x1050 but i will be buying a 1920x1080 monitor at some point.

Lets hope my GTX480 is up to the job. It's a little more powerful than the 6950, and shouldn't complain about a few hours of 100% load once I get a VF3000F on there :p

I would go SLI, but the heat, noise and power are a bit silly, especially on air. Not to mention I'd probably need a new PSU and wouldn't be able to use my VF3000F unless I had the world's biggest motherboard.

hehe my 4 year old e2180 @ 2.9 and 4850 512mb is oiled up n ready lol

On a more serious note, ill be waiting till the game comes out and see what is needed to run it at 1280*1024, high, 2AA on a 64 player server.
 
i hope a 4870 512mb can run this game at 1080 at the lowest setting possible until the 7k series arrives :\

I find it hard to believe that my 5870 which has coped with all games so far on very high, will be demoted to medium so soon :(
 
Haha, easily meet the requirements apart from the 20GB of space...might have to spoil myself and upgrade from the two 36 GB Raptor drives i'm using now :D

At that resolution will you not be more CPU limited?

A single modern drive would probably be as quick in the real world :)

i would believe that considering someone on twitter said to run ultra u need 2 GTX580's in sli and the people who call that bull need to stop and think DICE know what can run the game and what cant, why would they say that if its total bull?

5870s alone is still a powerful card, ive always enjoyed all the past games on max... perhaps no aa/af but its run just fine with perhaps the rare slowdown.

I bet once the betas out in 8 days time people will see it running just fine off a 5870 card even, having said that id also like it to struggle meaning ill have to buy a nice new radeon 7000 series as an excuse to upgrade.... again really surprised AMD or Nvidia havent said anything lately regarding there next gen cards you would think with bf3/skyrim/Modern warefare and few other top games due in the next 4-12 weeks, AMD and Nvidia would cash in!
