There was some kind of bust up between the owners of each respective site years back I believe.
I've no idea if any grudges are still held but the fact their name is still in the autofilter would suggest that relations are perhaps still not great.

Hey JS yes, if all goes well my brothers Virgin Media line should be restored by 14th Jan(so they Say)...hopefully so i ll just leach off hes wireless for a while,
They cant fix both lines at the same time, and said my Virgin line wont be fixed, until the 9th feb so I am fed up with there crap service, and will be getting my Virgin line disconected,
and I was always getting bad jitter and ping quite often,
so I have gone with O2,
(i ll be getting that on the 21st) which I hope should be better on the ping and jitter side of things, not to bothered about d/l speeds as I play games more then d/l...so yea looking forward to playing BF3 again!!

Jitter and ping tend to depend on your actual line quality and distance from the exchange.
I'll be back online a mine on the 21st as well so we can both have a celebratory game or two
