BF4 Quick Tips by a Competitive Player

Don't delete this thread - once blackie's become a long-standing and much-loved member of the boards, we can all keep a link to it handy in case we need to rattle his cage a bit :D

I'll try and check out the videos later this week and actually comment on the content too.

I suck too and have no problem 1 shotting in normal.

I enjoy daily claims that I am infact a cheat. The only Cheat I have is that i'm a horrible human being and more than happy to use a shotgun on CQB maps.

I'm sorry but winning is winning Top fragging = more XP and that's the entire point. IF I can go 25 - 4 with a shotgun or 12- 4 with a rifle I know what I will pick ^^ Asides Shotgun is the perfect counter to Support lmg campers xD.

Still love the fact people try and camp on square TDM maps........

Anyway thanks blackie the vehicle one is actually quite neat to know. I always just spawn xD

You misunderstand me it wasn't aimed as a dig. More I'm interested to know how badly I compare to a pro player :D

The only tips I can give are on being a bullet magnet and dying quickly :D
 
Some people on this thread need to re-insert their heads into their anus. A new member is trying to give out a few pointers he uses. Chill out, calm that inner keyboard warrior.

I would probably play either mode without too much bother, if it wasn't for the ridiculous 3D spotting in soft core. Hence I also only play hardcore. If you want to kill me then fine, just do it using some skill is all I ask of a game.

Yer I'm all good thanks mate.... Consider yourself very lucky then dude and enjoy the gaming time:D Im very jealous lol and wish I still had it like I once did. BC2 and BF3 till 4am :D
I totally agree there's nothing wrong at all with trying to be a better player. I still try and be half decent, doubt I am these days though...

You playing BF4 much ? I'll pick it up when I have a bit more time... Ill have to jump online you can protect me from all these crazy pro gamers :D

That's my main gripe with Normal Mode.

Back in the day 3D markers on people were obtained through hacks. Now it's a core gameplay mechanic. Just not my cup of tea.
 
I guess your videos are aimed at pretty low level players, I assume it was helpful to some, can't blame you for that.

Just my thoughts:

- That peaking thing, really people don't check corners before coming round scoped? I used to do that even on TFC!

- Quick switching came from CS 1.1 when sniping, it probably even came from Quake 3 with the Railgun.

- I know a lot of BF3 players that tap shot for along time using the good old M4, I guess it's finding the right weapon on BF4.

I guess I could make some sniping videos, but it will be nothing that doesn't apply to all FPS games...don't stand still, don't stand scoped, how to no-scope, how to quick-scope and so on. And no, I don't sit on a hill sniping, you will usually find me playing Op Locker ;)

Be good to play with some of you guys, I'm quite happy to "put my money were my mouth is" as Westie put it ;) Please share your battlelog id links and I'll add you both.

Side note, I assume you are using a separate Laptop / PC to capture the game?

That's fair enough, trying to help new players is cool and all but proclaiming to be one of the best, competing at the highest level etc isn't really going to gain respect.

saying 99% of people in a game you play are retards is another thing that's not going to earn you any respect

from that, you guys play a game where 99% are retarded ..... must be a challenge to be the best :rolleyes:

BF4's so broken it's not worth playing any more... Last ever BF game for me so so sad :( as I've been playing BF right from the start in "2002".

I just can't believe EA/Dice have still not addressed the core issues of the game.

I thought they were working on them? I thought they'd moved staff off other projects specially to fix bf4? Hoping to go back to it soon-ish.
