BFBC2 and stutters

Hi,

I'm curious if I can find ONE person who:

* has got Kepler (GTX 660 and up)
AND
* is playing BFBC2, HeavyMetal map online.

Strange enough, but I haven't found anyone with Kepler who plays BFBC2/HeavyMetal so far - I asked many times in chat window during playing.

What's that for ? :) Well, I experience stuttering on single (!) Kepler - GF660Ti which is very annoying, and sometimes doesn't allow to precise gaming.

I've described my issue few times, it's not place for repeating (yes, my CPU is not overheating, and is strong enough etc etc). Just believe me or not - no matter which settings I use, I've got stutterings in spite of having constant 60FPS :/ BFBC2 is one and only game that serves me such issues. BF3, Crysis2 etc = all look very fine.

My previous 2xGTX 460 SLI was MUCH BETTER (no stutterings AT ALL, and still constant 60 FPS), but I replaced them with single 660Ti as overall concept of better upgrade (which in fact is, in BF3, Crysis2 etc, but NOT BFBC2).

Second strange thing is I can record gameplay - and stutterings are visible in 60FPS recordings (nVidia ShadowPlay), but when I convert movie to 30FPS = stuttering is invisible. Gone. So I can't upload it to YT to ask anyone else.

I only want to find ONE person who is able to notice the same :) just to keep peace of mind :) Anybody ?

Anyone ? :/

I've got stuttering chart that has been done during playing. It's a pity I didn't make one having old GTX460x2 in SLI. It's HeavyMetal:

This is offline campaign:

For comparison, this is BF3 online:

Thanks guys for advice.
I'd destroy an atmosphere and say the advice was not a subject of my topic :) I simply look for any person with Kepler and BFBC2 gaming - to confirm, or deny. That's it. So you can deduce I've got no o'c at all :)

They way people have been talking, BFBC2 was like the frickin' Messiah of battlefield games. How dare you even suggest it's not completely glitch free?!?

(Sorry I can't help)

Wish I had picked it up when it was £1 on Origin, but wasn't at my PC at the time.

I've bought 3 DVDs on "popular auction site". One for me, second one because first disk has been scratched after some time, and 3rd for my son to play with him sometimes online ;-) So no excuse, they are cheap like chips :)

BTW, "stuttering" means no fluence in displaying video frames. FOr example, when you slowly go ahead nearby wall of the house - so you see moving background (not centre of screen) including this wall and you see small, short mini-jumps. Like some frames was displayed 2x longer, and then "next-next" frame has been displayed (not simple "next"). Stupid effect. 660Ti is capable of rendering 60FPS even with some double/triple buffering, but displaying is complete mess here. This is my personal failure that I've sold 2xFermi's (GTX 460) which displayed this game perfectly... thinking the 660Ti would be nice upgrade. Nice upgrade is seen in other games, but not BFBC2. Failure, failure, failure :) And shame for nVidia for lack of correct optimization in drivers, as I think in 99,9 %. Anyone to confirm this (and maybe some GPU Mist screenshot, please) ?

Or maybe someone else just playing the BFBC2/HeavyMetal map could do a GPU Mist screenshot how it's going with other card ? Thanks in advance :)

Tried a reinstall of windows to ensure it's not a software problem?

Also, check your internet connection is up to scratch. When I was on VM and they were over-subscribed I suffered similar stuttering in BC2 that made it almost unplayable.

I'm starting to being rude, guys, because of you :) I told you twice I don't need advice.. Format c is for lamers who can't cope with own system anyway. My Windows, hardware and other settings are pretty fine as I'm troubleshooter myself from many years.

Is the HeavyMetal map part of a DLC or in the base game? I hardly played BFBC2 on PC
It doesn't matter as game updates itself and after that HeavyMetal is available (if it wasn't before). So it's free, it's available and is waiting for you online ;-)

Well, no. Format C: is often the quickest way to resolve an issue (or at least rule out a software cause) rather than spend hours trying to work out what is going on, post on a forum for help and then ignore the advice of people that know better than you.

Keep on banging your head against the wall. I'm sure you'll find a solution eventually (which will be a software one almost certainly) and feel smug that you only spent a billion hours diagnosing and fixing it rather than an hour or so reinstalling windows.

I play BFBC2 on a mobile kepler chip (GT 640LE, OC'd to 890 core 960 mem, at 65C max), works flawlessly. Only thing I noticed is that it works better with dx9 vs dx11 (change it in system.ini). Try that if you haven't yet.

Have to agree actually, I myself have spent many hours fixing a stupid problem that I could have fixed within one hour by doing a format and reinstalling my apps.

I dont have the same card but I had the same issues at the weekend

Went from crossfire 6950's 2gb - i5 2500k to single 7590 3gb and instead of installing Catlyst Control Centre opted for MSI afterburner and it lagged like ****

Replaced Afterburner with CCC and all fine now

All I'm trying to ask is are you using Afterburner, if so try something else and see if that helps as your system is more then capable of running bc2

Also install Evilminds BFBC2 configurator and turn off HBAO / Bloom and Vsync off, could also try turning AA / AF off or lower to see if that helps
