hi there, just wandering if anyone knows of a fix for random freezeing and crashing in bfbc2?

the game just freezes and the only way back is to reset my computer...

ive monitored temps, and they seem fine....

ive disabled the on board realtek hd audio and still the same....

ive used lower settings.....

system is:

core i7 2600k @ stock settings

2 x sapphire 6950 toxics

win 7 64 bit.....

any one?

cheers chris

iam having the same problem on 2x 470's only started happening since i went to 2560x1440 though but i think my psu might be failing aswell as my 3.3v 5v and 12v are all below there optimums :(

Hang on, is this where BC2 actually freezes with the sound looping over and over? If so, thats not so much a hardware issue, they say its to do with punkbuster. I had the same issue last time but cant remember how i fixed it.

no its fully locks up with the screen frozen but some times it goes to a big white screen but the sound is still running and i can still move and have to restart the game

hi there , yea im using the realtek on board sound....ive disabled this and it still crashes....

i just get totaly froze screen, with sound loop.....only way to get out is to reset the computer.....cant even cntrl alt del......

and it only seems to be a problem in bfbc2....l4d2 is fine....and also deus ex.......

i also have msi afterburner running and core temp......

Then I believe it was as i suggested earlier, a common punkbuster/sound card issue with BC2.

Try running it with msi afterburner disabled, I heard that was one of the fixes a long long time ago.

Ill try and find the old thread with the BC2 punkbuster issue.

Edit: also try running BC2 with both afterburner and coretemp turned off.
