I am curious, how is President Biden portrayed and thought about in the UK? I find it comical when I read the BBC; like he's the second coming of Christ and walks on water. They also NEVER mention his constant buffooneries.

In the US, I'm an Independent who leans Conservative. Although I am not a huge fan of Donald Trump. But to a large portion of the US; Biden is a joke and an embarrassment. It's just astonishing the difference in media coverage between the two Presidents.

Thoughts?

thread won't last long i'm afraid....lol
the people on the one side can't comprehend thinking in the way the other side do so it's just a big mess.
Left and right is used as alternatives for Good and Bad, so the game was lost before it began.

I couldn't have cared either way as i'm in the UK, but what annoyed me was the blatant bullying bias from the media over trump. If he farted the wrong way it was in the news.

At worst I think people are indifferent to him, at best they like him.

Unlike with Trump, the UK news doesn't really cover Biden, certainly not his gaffs as you've mentioned.

I find day to day 80+% of people are indifferent while a small number big up every mundane thing he does like it is the second coming seemingly because he isn't Trump.

I've been sitting back a bit waiting to see whether some of the um incidents over the G7 visit got posted about in the Biden thread here - strangely not a passing comment from the main posters... funny that.

Has he actually tried to over throw an election yet? Cause if not he's all round better. Its funny you think Biden is a joke as I think most of the world think the US is a joke, esp from republicans who are so busy eating their own face they don't get anything done.

it's only seems to be the left leaning that dish out the personal insults...in the name of?

On here we need to know if you use alternative pronouns or not before we can even begin to debate with you tbh lol.

All he has to do is look better than Trump and he does that with ease.

I'd take Biden over Boris any day.
This, I don’t think he is a particularly brilliant politician or individual but he is less likely to deliberately stoke division and hatred than his immediate predecessor so he is an improvement. I truly hope the next US president is considerably younger and more forward thinking a departure from both Biden and Trump but sadly money talks so who knows who it will be.

Trump only stoked division as he didn't pander to the vocal social media crowd....and which ever groups beyond that...
much like a child being told no by their parents, I suppose most of the angry mob on here come across as never having to fend for themselves after leaving the nest hence they never grew up and...yawn bed time...

I'm curious what others gaffs has Joe biden been upto?

I did notice that Joe Bidens son dropping the N word in text messages barely made any waves. I thought all these people cared about racism

Also lol at the notion that Donald trump is causing the division. I doubt trump is the one who is making posts on these forums yet people here do a good job of dividing themselves.

While there is loads of stuff he has done well in and around the G7 stuff there were loads of issues as well - I'm guessing a lot of people either didn't watch it or are staying quiet and hoping no one else noticed. Unfortunately difficult to link to any kind of objective source as it is polarised between people picking up on the slightest thing and blowing it up into a huge gaffe or going to extremes to try and explain it away.

Quite a few times his speeches turned into stumbling messes and/or just went into weird pointless rambles, forgetting people and events which had happened moments before, badly misreading the room, etc.

Multiple instances where he can talk eloquently about something that happened 30 years ago but completely comes apart trying to deal with recent subjects, etc. (but I'm sure it is just a stammer).

I'm still confused at how a 78 old dementia sufferer can get elected to the Oval Office and be given the codes to the world's most devastating nuclear arsenal.

Bidens actual policy seem far worse than Trump's. Paying people to not go back to work, ridiculous spending packages leading to inflation and pushing the agenda of white supremacy and institutional racism. Not sure what else he is actually looking to achieve?

He is the biggest puppet of a president ever. Think he will struggle to see out 1 term, no mind about 2.
