Mini Pump
Puncture Repair
Inner Tubes
Lock + Cable

You may be able to get some of that kit cheaper by shopping around, I was just a lazy mofo and used 2 sites to put them here quickly.

Thanks!
The lock and cable looks good, I suppose you use the U lock and also put the cable through it? Is the lock easily stored on the bike?

Didn't think of a pump or other items thanks for that!

Anyone recommend some lights? :)

I tend to leave mine on 720p i find the 60fps more usefull than a higher resolution.
Need to start taking mine out more with me, but im really not happy with the videos from mine when attached to the bars, really poor quality.
Yeah I know what you mean, I wasn't that impressed with the quality even on 1080! I know it's no HD Camcorder and it's only small but expected better...
Pity I can't strap my Panny camcorder to my chest :D

I'll keep using it though and see how I get on.

Personally think the video is amazing quality, though the low light sensitivity could admittedly be better. The sensor is the best out of all the other HD "action cams" and it's now further improved by the GoPro HD hero 2.

That said, handlebar mounted videos always suck hard purely because there's just too much movement (even on a 180mm trail bike down a canal path or commute rob20 :p).

I also prefer the angle as wide as possible, so that when the camera is mounted on my helmet, it can catch a bit of my arms in the video - which gives the video a bit more perspective.

Anyone taking part in any Endomondo challenges over winter, could do with one to keep me motivated when the weather gets worse.

Not heard about those - are the XC races or just challenges set?

I initially thought attached to the bars would be the best place, need to get the roll cage mount so i can attach it to the fork stanchens the bike mount wont fit.

Anyone else on here on Endomondo, most of the peeps i have on mine are either road cycling or running people.

Supercow - You can make your own, with your mates or anyone, things like most miles within a set amount of months, or fastest 10 miles.
Most miles untill March would be a good one to get me through the worst months.

On the stanchions it will look jerky/shakey from side to side. It's nice if you cut the footage into a video for a few seconds or so, or use split screen and show alternative angles of your bike/you/suspension/the trail etc.

A whole run down, from the viewpoint of your forks, gets boring after 20 seconds. It's nice to alternate footage angle, but I wouldn't make fork view etc my "main footage angle".

Helmet/chest is pretty much the best since it's the angle people can relate to.

Ah I see, thought that might be the case.

Kinda half-interested, given that I want to try and prepare for the mavity Enduro series next year and just realised I had less time to prepare than I thought.

Race dates have been given, though not the venues yet:

mavity Enduro 2012 Dates
Rd1 - 24th 25th March
Rd2 - 28th 29th April
Rd3 - 26th 27th May
Rd4 - 4th 5th August
Rd5 - 1st 2nd September

Have to give helmet mount ago,

try get a few of us on Endomondo to see who can put the most miles in over winter.
I usually do next to nothing and then when summer comes i can barely pedal on level ground never mind up a hill.

How do you guys mount this cam to your frames then? Some special mount or are you just using the 3m sticky pads?

Rob, do you have a chest mount? Mine came with one and its brilliant! Fits my skinny chest just fine!

What res do you use Cow?

720P, therefore it's at the widest and 60fps.
It enables you to slow down the footage without it looking too jerky... not that my footage needs to go any slower mind :D

Post some footage of yours and let's see the fisheye you're referring to?

Maybe you could change the mounting direction ever so slightly to make it look more.. erm "normal" ?

I've got endumondo, but the thing is, when out on the trail bike, we tend to fart about in the woods a lot. So if there's a few short mini dh sections, we'll session that for a bit before plodding off elsewhere. I've thus never bothered putting it on. Planning to change those habits over winter to get the fitness up.

On the frame itself, I used that flat surface strap thingy, as seen here:

Rubbish quality, I compressed the hell out of it so it was quick to upload.

Surprisingly, Hero footage taken off your seatpost using that clamp rob's referring to, looking back at a mate riding behind you, can come out rather nicely.

New bling on the way for the Mega:

Thats exactly the sort of riding i do, got many country parks and disused railways round here for messing about on. Disused railway platforms make a great spot for practicing flat drop offs, and the banks make some very steep and challenging mini dh sections.

I run endomondo when im riding to these spots, hence all the "canal path riding" lol, fair bit of road as well.

That looks nice - gone all ou Nukeproof have ya? :)

I noticed they are expanding into riding gear/protection too that looks rather good.
I'm liking all the gear coming out at good value price points.

Somewhat off-topic, but Royal's bringing out some seriously nice gear for next year. Think it's time for a bit of a clear-out of riding gear to make space.

I'll post my footage up tonight, didn't bring my sd card to work today. I usually do!
Will have to try 720 again when I'm on the bike I think. I only tried it when standing next to my mates T4 and scanning around...

Is this the motorsport mount:

I have that, but don't see how it attaches to anything round with just a sucker!
flat surface strap thingy
I'll see if I have one of them in my GoPro box later :D

Edit: lovely arse padding that RX! Hmm...

Loving Royals new offerings :) I have the 2010 24 7 shorts and they are fantastic. Excellent quality gear.

Not quite all Nukeproof yet :) Gamut, Raceface, Nukeproof. My bike is a bit of a mixed bag. Really like the Nukeproof designs though. I'm after a set of their flat handle bars next

How tall are you? Flatter bars are great, but the super flat/low fashion is silly.
Admittedly I wanted to get my front end as low as I can, being a sheep and following all my mates doing it, but found the riding position horrible, so I slowly started to lift the front end again. Now rather happy with my 20mm rise bars on the DH bike and 38mm rise on the Tracer 2.

Also, those Nukeproof bars are nice, but they aren't all that Nuke-Proof.
Certainly weren't cowproof
