Done Rivington this morning, nearly killed myself way too fast at one point and nearly hit a tree. The rocky way down is pretty tricky some massive rocks to avoid, big drops and its all loose rocks.

Awsome few hours. Destroyed the bottom bracket though, give up with that shimano crap, it just doesnt keep out the dirt. Also the Nomad is now showing some nice scratches and scars on the unerside.

Did 18 miles on the Bullit today. Fichie XC and finish on the DH.

Playing about at the end of the DH track:

You look way too clean there.
Do you guys always take a camera guy along or somehing, i tend to just get on with riding instead of taking pics.

Well get on endomondo, all my rides are on there. I always forget the gopro, looks crap as i only have the bar mount so far, need to stick it on the helmet really or get a chest mount.

I did Ice cream run twice then just messed about.
These two are pansies i averaged 20+ all the way down, could have ace drop offs and if you take your eye off the road for a second its not a good place to fall off.

Yes we always take a camera. That's why I am so fat. Too much taking photos and not enough time riding.

I use Sportypal on my phone and have recorded quite a few rides on it. One of my pals uses a Bryton GPS.

Christ if that is "one of the finest DH tracks in the North West" then I feel for you. Its just a rough farm track FFS or am I missing something?

Going to the shops on my DH bike. Got some big kerbs to ride. brb

It's very obvious which of you haven't ridden it, vids don't really show it off too well. Clearly not the best downhill in the northwest, anyone who says that hasn't ridden in the lake district, or the other side of winter hill in fact.

To describe it as a fireroad or pebbles is laughable though.

To be fair it looks like you could get some serious speed down that. I'd find it pretty fun I think.

I don't suppose any of the Dhers here are doing the mini DH at the Forest of Dean on the 4th?
It's a good laugh, and the track's not too long (normally under a minute IIRC).

Edit: Friend linked this crash on facebook:
It just gets worse and worse :o

I went to Wharncliffe today, actually had fun hunting for bits of singletrack to ride as virtually nothing is signposted. Felt very different to the trail centre haunts of late, liberating!
