I just want the lever.
Also red adjuster screws, and the rest of the red bits, res caps, bore covers, maybe even get some red hose. Cant beat a bit of bling.

Went to Cannock Chase with my brother. Did Follow the Dog and The Monkey Trail. They have closed the last section (rollers) on FTD though so had to give that a miss but had a good blast otherwise. First time I've done the Monkey but glad I did.

I've managed to somehow split my front gear cable so that needs replacing and bent my seatpost on Monday at Lee Quarry in a fall so took one off my other bike.

The rear brake on my bike though doesn't feel tight at all compared to the front, really have to pull down to get it working. It's a Shimano hydraulic brake (not sure of model, it's a Pinnacle Iroko one). Anyone have an idea what causes this and how to correct it?

Front brake is absolutely fine and works flawlessly.

Getting frustrated with chain reaction cycles. Components wise, everything I ever want is out of stock. How can you be out of stock for so long on such important parts.

Yeah they bug me as well, there service has really taken a dive these last couple of years, wont use them for time sensative stuff now, plenty of other places but it usually means ordering from multiple places.

My latest order from CRC arrived next day as usual. Never had an issue with them.

In other news....

I was helping out at a demo day today. Tried a Tallboy for size. Even though the SC sizing chart puts me in the middle for a medium I found it too big for me. The Scalpel 29r is a complete no go for me too. 29ers seem to be for people 5'10" plus. And gay people. Maybe I'll try 650b next!

Had a shot of a Blur TRc. Amazing wee bike! I briefly considered selling some bikes to get one.

anyone saying theres no difference in cables is wrong

just changed the cables on my week old TCR to Jagwire super slicks and you can feel the difference in the shifter instantly....
