The new hydroforming looks much more modern and the reverb stealth integration is definitely going to be slick (even makes me consider one more as a replacement for my i950 :D ) but the colours and graphics are absolutely gopping.

Have to agree, I was a huge fan of the 2012 Mega in yellow but this time around it looks horrendous.

The finish on the mega is my only major criticism of the bike. The anodising is very shoddy on both the black and silver, but especially the black. The yellow paint just looks awful in person.

IMO the new ones looks a heck of a lot better.

Whats up with the finish on the Mega, crow?

I have the 2011 in black and it's perfectly uniform across the whole frame, even the welds (which were a bit of an issue on some of the silver frames)

Have you felt the dullness of the anodising - and noticed how easily your ano scratches? Reason is because it wasn't shot blasted before the ano was applied. Very much a rush job to get it done as cheap as possible.

No scratches yet :) I guess I'm not riding it hard enough :p

My mate's one scratches and scuffs just by taking it in and out of the car :(
Another riding mate of mine has his Demo anodised, and while it looked decent enough, the finish on it was the same as that Mega in question - quite a dull feel to it (for the lack of a better description)

Maybe it's a one off - dont know, but the finish would certainly have been nicer if they had properly treated the metal before anodising it (i.e: bead blasting and chemically stripping it numerous times)

More Eurobike updates, Santa Cruz's new downhill snowbike the v10FAT
