Thanks for the heads up on the Aldi gear guys,

Managed to get a base layer and a jersey and a winter jacket. I will agree they don't "look" amazing, but the quality for price is VERY impressive and for pottering around locally in they will be ideal!

Also managed to get out on my bike (Finally)

Sram replaced my forks with a brand new set of 2013 Revelation RCT3's in a matte black color. I had many more "lies" from the bike shop about the whole ordeal, and they clearly rush fitted them as everything they touched was barely held in place, but I didn't care I just wanted my bike back.

I checked everything over and tightened what needed to be tightened and gave it a blast around our local loop. Was soo good to actually get out on it again!

I need to fettle with the air in the shocks to get that right, and give it a clean as it got a little muddy! But I cant wait to get out on it again!

Glad you managed to get some stuff, I only managed to get 1 base layer, but then that's all I was after. Glad you're back on your bike too.

Its been just under 2 weeks and its felt like an age!

Hopefully this weekend has SOME dry weather as I want to get out on it again!

Got some miles to catch up on!

I should have my frame by Monday, can get the LBS to install the headset then.

I've been bikeless for about 3 weeks now and I'm getting cabin fever big time

Finally got a decent angle with me GoPro 2 Hero and chesty mount. Heres my weekend vids of Cannock Chase Monkey Trail:

Edit: Havent got a clue how to make vids show like youtube vids on the post instead of link :/

Excellent will watch those later :)

On another note I hope you aren't one of those people who side-step the car park fees at Birches Valley by parking in the side road by the railway track

If so you missed a nice fast section at the beginning of the "Monkey" which heads down from the woods to the railway track :D

Just put my order in for the new Cannondale Trail SL 5 2013 Mountain Bike

Is my second bike along with my kona but the misses can use this one as well

Movie maker makes baby Jesus cry

Why? Because its genuinely free, simple to use and the best free software unless you have Mac? I've tried many others and unless you want to make complex videos, Movie Maker is more than adequate. You simply don't need anything else.

It's effects are poor, the transitions worse, titling is rubbish and limited compression options. Try doing anything a little more complex than stitching a few segments of your ride together and it's woeful.

Would much rather get something that's just as simple to use, but with little bit sexier editing options, such as Sony Vegas.

Could care less if it's genuinely free. Consider your demographic in here, I'm sure the vast majority of the audience in here can get any editing program they wanted.

And on an ENTIRELY different note.

So there I was on the sh!tter yesterday and found myself without my phone or my iPad (which is of course pooping essentials). I picked up one of my wife's magazines to see if I can see a boob, which celeb got fat, what R-Patz is now up to in his life since K-Stew cheated on him and so forth ... when low and behold... I stumbled upon our mate Itchycrotch crane in the mag!

I would agree with most of that, but it definitely ticks the cheap and cheerful box. Sony Vegas is good, but you really have to know what you're doing and tinker with settings to get the best out of it.

Did the Peak District Challenge today, the hardest thing I've ever done. I'm in agony but well pleased with what I've achieved. Some really treacherous conditions with all the rain this week, but at least the weather held out today.

Here's the route.

Massive thanks to those who have sponsored me, I really, really appreciate it. :)
