I can barely afford the bike I have never mind a second one :D

I need a new seatpost remote, new grips, a service kit for my pedals, a brake bleed, a chain wear indicator as I'm sure mine has stretched too much, a new cassette soon. My car also needs a service, we'll see which happens first :p

I know how you feel. I need a new wheelset for the T2 and new XTR chain rings for the Blur. Mrs weescott's car is in the garage just now too. :( Once it's fixed I'll sell it so I can buy bike parts. She can get the train to work! :D

Managed it in the end, ground an old pair of long nose pliers down so they fit between the links and it popped open. XX1 all indexed now and chain length set.

I liked the old 9sp system where you just pushed the sides together and pushed the link together.

The Bronson uses a tapered headset configuration commonly refered to as "mixed tapered". It uses a 44mm internal upper cup, and a 49mm external lower cup.

Thanks for that!

Know them feels, fell like I'm throwing money at it just now :D

Has she got her new bike yet? :p

I don't think Orange not making Dh bikes has anything to do with popularity of DH, its got everything to do with unpopularity of their Dh offerings vs popularity of their Trail bikes. Many cheaper brands out there providing better value DH bikes for the money.

Peasant, I can afford a DH bike + others ;)

I dunno I think the DH race scene has got quieter, especially around here..

Bikes all done now. Looks much tidier minus the front dual rings and mech.

Cassette is as big as the brake rotor, i don't know how they made it so light for its size, doesn't feel right.
I have the chain length set so i can run a 30t up to a 36t.

Did a bit of blinging as well, some red hope master cylinder tops.

I like the GXP setup as well, awesome idea.

Very expensive, looks lovely though.

Great day out today, going to miss being so close to such awesome trails. Finally hit the kicker jump i've been too much of a phaggot to do before!

Still no slipping with the 1x10, great bit of kit.

The fact then when your hammering down a bumpy trail it will just fly off.. ive had it happen on my dual with chain guide let alone a single on its own

It's xx1 so has the narrow wide chainring to keep it on up front.

I'd personally shorten the chain to the setup you're running so that the mech cage has a bit more tension on it. For the price of a chain if you do get it a bigger chainring it's worth it.

As Jonny says above my post, it's got a narrow/wide profile to keep it stuck there. A few of us have 10 spd versions on this forum, afaik they're all working perfectly. I know mine is. My chain doesn't even move when I come off! :p

That chain is surely not going to stay on that ring

The narrow wide / with clutch mech thing work amazing.
Not a fan of the Sram clutch mech, but a mate has the xx1 setup, and he didn;t drop his chain riding his AM bike down Champery etc DH track in France this year.

I got the Raceface / Zee combo on the HT and can;t drop it
