Not in the sense you're referring to :p

I shall continue to pollute the MTB thread with my dirt road/road rides :D

What bar end/grips are you running 6th? Thanks

What exactly is the point of those things - thought you're one of the sensible ones 6th?

I get the triathlon arm restmebops, but not the bar ends?

Loving my new bike now, cube acid 29er, been riding it for a bit now and used to it + riding again so feeling more confident on the downhills! did my local (penmachno marin track) up here in north wales today and its the best fun ive had downhill! everything seemed to flow! biking rocks! :D

The little nubby bar ends are good for an alternate hand position and particularly good for the increased leverage that gives when you're riding a singlespeed out of the saddle up steep inclines. Yes a wider bar helps, but also see what the difference is in having your hands like you were holding a bar versus shaking hands. (The small barends give a similar hand position to being on the hoods of a road bike).

They're only long enough that I hook my thumb around them with my palms resting on the ends of the bars. Not like the old bohemoths.

Went to Gisburn yesterday, they have done a lot of trail repairs, but the place has taken a beating through the bad weather. Hully Gully in particular is a bit of a mess.

I know what you mean, I don't know why people bother with Hully Gully when it's wet, you can't ride it how its supposed to be ridden and it just rips it to shreds. I'm not surprised all the stormtrooper dads fall off there :p
