They are ultra mags. To add insult to (almost) injury they are not 8mm fittings as stated on the web site and the packaging. Bike shop confirmed they are 5 16ths....or something. Useless.

5/16'' and 8mm are so close that many manufacturers in many industries call them the same thing.

same thing that happened to your superstars happened to my wellgo mg1. although the body of mine cracked on the axle as it slid off

Mornign all, im still toying with the idea of chaning my forks.

Does anyone have or have used these forks : Marzocchi 44 TST2

I have found my current forks (well very similar) can be bought on egay for
£70~ and weigh in at 2.8kgs so not overly impressede with that.

Cheers

Andy

marzocchi went through a tought few years and haven't been producing the best forks. I think the new 2010 models are better but i'd look elsewhere really. What type of riding / travel do you do/need? Also a budget would be good.

While i dont have any views on the 44 TST2
Im a Marzocchi fan myself, in late 07-early 08, they moved production from italy to the middle east to save money, but in doing so the forks suffered, forks produced around that time were a lottery if they lasted or not, some build quality in the materials were changed and so on, Apparently 09/2010 stuff is getting back to the 'old' Zocchi ways.

In your budget id be looking at some second hand Fox forks or new Rockshox.

Also what bike are they going on and what do you plan on doing with it.

Thanks for the comments guys,

They are going on a 2010 Marin Bolinas Ridge, i intend to get my backside to
some trails in the next couple of weeks.

Have done some weight saving on the bike already with,

New tyres
New pedals
New bars
New stem

So a big chunk of weight could be lost on the forks im guessing.

Cheers

Andy

Heres the Fox's 140390751459
Andy
Nice forks at a good price for a New set of Fox's :) You won't go far wrong with them or the Reba's.
Both worth the money that they're being advertised at..
Do you know the length of your Steerer tube on the Marin at the moment?
