I've just fitted some Schwable Marathon plus tyres today replacing the stock Fast trak ones on my Rockhopper Pro.
I don't half zoom down the road now lol.
I never thought there would be that much of a difference!
My wheels look tiny now though.

Also fitted a new XT M770 cassette, It's not a shiney as the plain old Deore one, it looks like a cheapy standard one but heh ho.

Got any pics?. And do you still intend to go offroad with it?. Just wondering how they fare on a surface other than tarmac. ;)

That just sounds wrong to my ears. I've got the same tyres on my station bike but they are widely considered by roadies to be the slowest tyres you can get. Totally bulletproof though, no punctures in 4 years for me.

I did ride across a bumpy building site today, Which was full of loose rocks and dirt, they seem to grip well enough in the dry. My phone is charging at the moment, I'll try later on.

i'm using the 26 x 1.75 version of the tyres.

Reality- Those pics are bit small; I can't quite make out the grain of metal on your cassette :p

That's pretty darn light. The saddle and post look a little out of place though.
Yeah, I can easily swap it for my Thomson post and Fizik Gobi saddle from my other bike.

Seat pin(post). As in measurements, etc, but doesnt matter really. Bel Air rails can be slightly off IME, I presume its only out by a mm or so, just tighten it down and it'll slot into place.

oh its a 27.2 i think, and i did take your advice and its slotted in, although i think at some point my seat took a hit as it leans to the right but its good for now.
