Google it and you can see that most reports say "Cav brings down the peloton". I think that's rather unfair to be quite honest. Cav was in the zone, focused and going for it big time in the sprint to the finish line. Haussler was behind Cav and surely must have seen him in front of him?. It's one of those things but if anything, Haussler collided with Cav and not the other way around.

Hope all riders involved are ok injury wise. :D
 
Half way through my mtb trip. So far ridden Dalbeattie, Kirroughtree black, Mabie, Ae, Nevis red and the end of the world cup DH track. Some amazing trails. Kirroughtree black is pretty full on gnarrrr. That and Mabie or my new favourite trails. :D.

The riders delayed the start of today's stage in protest at Cav. Apparently they confronted him about him not holding his line and he just spat on the ground in front of them.

I used to quite like his agressive attitude, but I think he's going a bit far now.
 
Yeah he does seem to have an attitude problem recently, which again is a shame because the sport needs as much support back here in the UK as possible and having someone causing problems and being reported by the media won't do the sport any good :(
 
Superstar components now have the nano tech flats back in stock in all colours. I should get mine tomorrow or Friday hopefully. If anyone is planning to order them, i'd do so soon as they said the prices are due to go back up.
 
Just finished cleaning my bike after at least 2 years with nothing but raindrops to wash some of the crud away.

It's an '02 Kona Lavadome with Manitou Skareb Platinum forks. It's being treated to new grips, tyres (Conti Double Fighter IIs) and V-brake pads (none of your fancy disc business, although I will need new wheels soon so will upgrade then).

The main issue with the bike is that it was standing until yesterday, and has been in my leaky garage over the winter. As a result, the chain has suffered somewhat and is a bit rusty/stiff. I've soaked it in penetrating oil and worked the links loose (only a few were stiffish). The next step is to ultrasonically clean it in industrial degreaser, and then re-oil. Hopefully it'll go back together ok.

Incidentally, can anyone recommend a cheap, half-decent oil to protect the chain once I've refitted it?

Finish line Wet/Dry Lube, i personally like the wet one, after a ride wipe down and re-apply.

On a side note, i was out today on the bike, and i took a few snaps of it, but they all turned out crap due to my phone lol so heres one :) first time ive posted it too.

Have you checked all the bolts are tightened evenly?(assuming it's 4bolt)

Had a creak in mine until I loosened them all off and did them all back up in the correct order.

Yup more times than i care to remember, ill re-check it again but its the only creak left on my bike after working out all the others, just annoying more than anything.
