there isnt any internal bit?

Unscrew the silver piece and you'll see a round rubber piece with a hole though the center, take that piece out and the plastic bit behind it and depending on which order they're in changes the valve which it's for.

didnt even come close to pumping the tower up

Your pump skills are fail.

There are only 2 ways the internal bits can go, so choose the way which fits onto your valve.
You see the little plastic lever? Make sure its pointing down, push the pump onto the valve then pull the lever up. Then you can pump :)

Got my wheels trued + new tyres ,went for 2.5 super tacky high rollers in the end.

Im still unsure though on slime tubes:confused:...Ive been running them for a while but is the extra weight they carry worth it?

Thanks

tbh i don't get punctures that often maybe once every 3 months (~100miles offroad a month and ~80 miles a month onroad) tyres and innertubes these days are brilliant,i'd dump the slimes. what sort of mileage are you doing?

At the minute id say around 70 miles a month off-road

Ill probably ditch them now ive got the thicker walled high rollers.

Ive been using specialized's own eskars which are very thin in comparison to these.

can you guys recommend a decent helmet so I can dump this bloody awful Bell my Mrs. bought me? Needs to be one that doesn't make me look like a mushroom-headed ******* if possible, my 3 choices at the moment are:

Fox Flux
Giro Xen
Met Kaos

Any others that look reasonable?

Depends on spec but I'd say £5-600, basing this on 2006/07 ones going for around the 6/700 mark.

Thanks for that :) A colleague whose brother wants him to sell it is asking around that price and wanted to know if he was pitching it at the right mark. I'll let him know.
