One of the few bikes I'd swap mine for!

Hey guys, looking at spending around £850 on a new bike. With that budget I think hardtail is best way to go. At the moment leaning towards a Genesis Latitude 00, link here http://www.genesisbikes.co.uk/bikes/mountain/latitude/latitude-00

What do you all think? Good bike? Seems a reasonable spec with a Cromo steel frame. Any other suggestions in the budget?

Thanks for the suggestion, although isn't that all round a lesser spec? Ally frame, worse forks etc? Or am I reading it wrong haha

if your looking at steel 100mm travel bikes then heres your bike...

exact same forks , better drivetrain , better hubs , comparable brakes , looks nicer (imo)

i could thoroughly recommend on-one as a company too. theyre spot on with everything.

Syringe and some piper to fit the syringe and bleed nipple, its all i ever used, in fact if your anywhere near manchester you can have mine for nowt im moving to hope brakes.

Cheers, I managed to get stuff from the vets down the road. syringes and drip tubing sorted me out a treat. horrible to bleed tho because you have to do it backwards because there is no reservoir :/

Only up the road from me as well, short drive across country, might have to make a trip see if they do a tour, and buy a new V2 front brake as well.
You have got to admire how Hope does things.

Is a steel frame overall better than an aluminium one then? Thought there were pros and cons for each?

They look pretty good, but i think i'm still leaning towards the shimano RT76's for the same money.
