just started doing a lot of riding so im looking for a lid, any suggestions? looking to spend £30-50 for it, something compact as my head is quite round and the thicker walled lids look like a giant bell on my head

Go and try some and get what is most comfortable.

It's my birthday today and my girlfriend did well

X9 10 speed shifter and short cage rear mech and hope matchmakers. Also got a Blackspire stinger and some DMR vault pedals (red) on order - they're out of stock everywhere! Just need a frame to attach everything to now

Does anyone know if a 30mm seatclamp will do the job if the frame needs a 29.8mm?
On One are out of stock of QR's but my LBS has plenty 30mm Hope ones...

30mm will be fine, i used one for years no problem.

Like i said my fireeye griffin had a 29.8 tube and i ran a 30mm clamp for two and a half years with no problems.

Im blaming you by the way for me buying a new frame, now im looking at all sorts of parts, blackspire stingers, new cranks, whole gearsets, bars you name it im looking at it. Costing me an arm and a leg.

Dont bother, I have one and it is very heavy and poorly compatible with the Stinger. Get x.0 or the new XT

Aye they look nice and are solid as a rock but if you want to run a stinger they are a no no.

The E13 bashrings look cheap and crack, take a look at the Straitline ones, thinner profile and metal.
