Reality|Bites. What's with the random posting of links? Are you a wiggle bot? An explanation would be nice rather than spamming this thread!
 
Can anyone recommend a 'get me home' pump? I've got the multi tool, I've got the spare inner tube, but I've not got a pump to take around with me.

Does anyone have a decent pump they can rely on to get them home and is capable of PSI's of 80+? Ideally value for money as it'll just be lobbed in the bag with the rest of the kit and not a show poney!

Hydraulic disk brakes can give you far more power and are less likely to fade/overheat. No cables mean more consistant braking when things get wet/muddy. Less friction, smoother operating.
 
pretty much no maintenance at all. they are a sealed system

might need bleeding once a year but tbh ive always been quite lucky and rarely had too

hypocrite much ? he was posting links for the guy who was asking for them. whereas you where giving him dodgy answers for a genuine question about tubeless ?

Pretty much once fitted and bled, you can just leave them, and change the pads when needed, when you feel the brakes not responding as normal a quick bleed (you will need a bleed kit) and your running again.

Should add, most brakes come pre-bled, but on the odd occasion the bleed isnt that clever, mostly with some Avid brakes.

Do you know what hypocrite means? I haven't posted any links without description as to what they are. I apologise you didn't understand my humour.
 
Wonder if you kind people would help me out..

Looking at getting a new bike as I have had my current bike since 2000!! Not looking for anything too amazing but don't fancy buying one and then having to buy another one later on if you know what I mean. Would rather spend a bit extra for something that I would keep longer. Not going to be doing anything too extreme as I don't do jumps, etc.. Bit of a newbie to all of this if I'm honest!

Ideally anything is an upgrade from what I have at the moment and i'd be looking to spend no more than £450. Came across these two:

First one has some good reviews, is the Clad worth the extra? Have been told to keep get as light as possible within budget and that disk brakes are the way to go. Is there any difference between mechanical and hydraulic? Any other recommendations would be welcome :)

I've been looking into this over the last few days as i've got a Topeak Mini Blaster which is, to be frank, rubbish.

Have a look at the Lezyne Micro Floor Drive pumps. There are four versions. HP, HPG, HV, HVG:

HP - high pressure, up to 160PSI (HPG same but with gauge)

HV - high volume, up to 90PSI (HVG same but with gauge)
 
I tried my Elixir CR Mag's for the first time on Saturday.

Damn they're good!

I hope the V2's I ordered which are currently still volcano delayed are as good or better otherwise I'll be annoyed.
 
I wouldn't hold your breath.... I've tried both - one of my friends has the Avid's, the other the Hope's.

The V2's definitely have power, but there just doesn't seem to be enough bite (even with the adjustments).
