It is my local, if you have never been it is worth a visit the red route is good, quite long but reasonably technical and the world cup course from Dixons Hollow is well worth a go.

Yeah it will be my first time....With cannock being my local and you guys going the other week.

Hows it compare in your opinion?

Thanks

Im back from MORZINE, Its a shame as I loved every minute. Hardly any photo's apart from this one. Just about to start the DH run to Les Crosets in Switzerland :)

You need a larger bike than the Alpine 160. It was a little lame by Wednesday. Still jumped ok.

Good luck riding Les Crosets. It used to have a turn so steep that the only way to ride it was on the front wheel only!!!!. The Ankara (sp?) track the other side of it is really good fun. Steep and bermy. But don't ride it in the wet, it's leathal!

Supercow: At the bottom of the French national turn right and take the chairlift to the valley south of Chatel. It's where the gravalanche starts. A 20 minute @40mph blast down a loose rocky cart track.

It is probably on par climb and descent wise, but has a few more technical sections and the bike park as well. If you enjoy Cannock you will like it and the trails are better kept :D

Nice pic jansessassysysesssasysy, I've not done Les Crosets before. Is it further than Lindarets towards Morgins?

Up from Lindarets to the Swiss border. Not as far as Morgins - didnt like Morgins at all - so far away and takes to long to get to. Black was funny in the wet :D

Both Runs are awesome in Les Crosets - I like steep.... the Bermy one opersite is one of my favorites though. Rather than taking the Gravalanch we took the GR4 back to the French national down to Lindarets.

10/10 holiday.

All the tracks out there are awesome! :D

Just found this pic. It's a view from the road down from Avoriaz looking towards a track (what name is it?) coming from Chatel down to Des Lindarets.

A few pictures of my Scott Sportster 60 that I picked up last week

I cycle 12 miles a day and am loving it so far. Took a few days for my behind to get used to the saddle but thanks to some padded shorts, seems to be ok now :o :D

Seem to be getting quicker and not as tired on the uphill sections of my journey so I reckon after a few weeks, I'll be quicker still. Was lucky with the weather last week but it's supposed to be quite wet next week so I've arranged to pick up some mud guards tomorrow. Need to look into some waterproof clothing as well.

Ordered some new brake pads, mine were pretty much done (whoops). Now I'm looking for some other things. Can anyone reccomend some decent Waterproofs to wear over a Jersey? Nothing silly expensive please!

Chesery - opersite the french national. The GR4 / 5 ? coming in 2/3rds from the top on the right hand side.

Ah, that's what that XC trail is called. We had to ride the GR4 when the Gravalanche was shut one day. Chesery was fun too. I'm honestly forgetting what half the stuff we rode is called.
