Watched the replay just now... Well, parts of it. I just couldnt get into it very much. The commentators literally made it quite boring

Did the London to Southend yesterday. 57 miles according to some chap's computer rather than the 52 on paper. Left Victoria at about 8.50am and got to Southend at about 2.45pm with a couple of very brief stops to eat and once for some lunch. It decided to tip it down just outside Battlesbridge and being as I didn't have any waterproofs, I got soaked on more than one occassion. Aside from being wet, it was enjoyable. My arse today though begs to differ.

As an aside chaps, I've noticed a little bit of rust in the bolts of my break levers where my old man had tightened them up for me and the bike's been out in the garden under a cover. Is there any way to fight off the rust?

Before you mention about the bike being in the garden - I don't have a choice in the matter. :/

Also, I'll echo the above request - what waterproofs? :p

Its just rust, its going to happen. You'll find the reason it has started is due to them being adjusted and the paint rubbing off. Same has happened to the brake return spring tension screws on my bike.

Wouldnt worry about it.

I don't think I have posted a pic of the T2 and CCDBDBDBDBDBD. So:

A couple of laps of Carron Valley today - quiet good fun. Not very long/technical but some nice sweeping berms and "the runway" at the end is superb fun with some excellent jumps/tabletops and drop offs etc.

Think the signal got lost at the start of the 1st climb!

It's a great blast, innit?. I usually go round the lot and then come back to the car park and start again two or three times. If I'm pushed for time then a quick 1 lap is great for blowing the cobwebs away. The Runway is great fun, I've posted a few vids on Youtube of me and a few mates from work up there, search for Carron valley green watch. :)

I'm heading up there on Wednesday for a quick blast, 10 min drive away. :D

Could cycle it in 20 :p

Takes me about 40 mins to get there. Such a shame the FC didnt keep things going up there as there is nothing decent near Glasgow at all :(

Looking to get into Biking again after a few years. I thought it would be best to buy 2nd hand and get a better bike rather than new.

I've signed up on the Bikeradar forums, where else is good for bike classifieds?

I made a mistake by going into a bike shop when I was waiting for my car's MOT to be done. This is what I ended up with.

My current frame with no parts left on it:

The i-drive system does feel good but my eyes! No wonder I got it cheap.
