That OnOne looks lovely R0B.
But why are you not running Tubeless on your Flows? It's simple :)

Well I haven't seriously looked into doing it yet I'll admit but I've heard people mention both positive and negatives with some saying its hardly worth it. Are you running tubeless? What would you say are the benefits, do they outweigh the negatives enough to warrant it?

Are you running tubeless?
Yeah, on my Flows too on my SS2.

I think they do, one of the benefits it the weight saving. Whilst not much, it does give your wheels/tyres some better "rollability". I've never had to the worry about pinch flats and then potching with a tube in the dark, I've had a couple of small holes in my rear tyre and the Stans goop has sealed it up in no time. Are your rims taped ready?

Even if you don't change tyres often you still have to replace the sealant every few months. Not the case with UST tyres that don't require sealant.....obviously.

The Stans sealant will seal the hole with Stans rims, and I just assumed UST tyres were thicker! Might be wrong though! :)

So you don't use sealant with UST tyres, because they are thicker tyres? Surely this negates any potential weight saving?

Yeh thats what I gathered from my research last week, UST doesn't give you much of a weight saving as the tyres are heavier.

...and because they are UST they don't need sealant, so if you do get a puncture you're screwed :p

So, its a toss up, do you go with UST or non UST tyres and have to mess about sealing them every so often.

Yep, definitely sounds like too much of a hassle for me. I'll just take a spare tube with me :p

Can you use UST tyres with Stans rims? Or do you still have to use sealant?

It depends on the tyre/brand. Also, the UST standard can be attained by a porous tyre with sealant. Like the WTB UST tyres.

Personally I would have preffered UST to be sealant free. Tubeless is confusing enough.

Not true. :p

How do you fix a punture without sealant on a tyre without any? You're right, tubeless is confusing....and expensive :D
