Brilliant, cheers Matt!
I've heard about the Stumpjumper actually, I'm 6"2 so ideal sizes :)

I've found this bike as well, they get very good reviews and look pretty well specced up.

I'll read some more reviews on the Stumpjumper!

I'd go for the Stumpy so far, but also consider these:

Giant Reign, decently specced with good reliable components, coil shock on the rear is going to be good for DH too, but this is definitely a lot more DH biased than the Stumpy, so it won't be as easy to climb on

If you can stretch to it, I'd go for this personally, best spec of the lot and similar type of company to Canyon - you buy direct so save money.

Why is it that both 10spd SLX rear mechs are not compatible with the 10spd 11-36 cassette??ffs now I have to put the cassette I bought yesterday back on eBay :(

Really? The shimano website says the maximum sprocket should be 34 (gs - medium cage)(also long cage), but I don't see why theyd sell the 11-36 cassette if it wasn't compatible with either mech. *confused*

Video from the interwebs of Grizedales new down hill course.
Having watched many videos of downhill tracks Grizedale doesn't look too hard, might have a bash when im up there this weekend.

They are amazing, can't fault them.
I will say that they are not the fork for everyone as they ride high in their travel. They track the ground exceptionally well with a feeling of a "bigger travel fork", though if you want the most sensitive fork, then look at the Marzocchi.

BOS, Zocchi or Kashima Float?

That being said. their service intervals are a lot further apart than the likes of Rockshox and especially Fox ( :p ).
Kashima is so good that it increases the service intervals on Fox forks by at least.....2 months :p . The newer Fox forks seem to be better for servicing IME.
That looks great fun, though certainly not a DH track.
Certainly not a Black either.

you guys bother with any bike magazines? Haven't brought one since i was doing a paper round (10-11 years back!), was thinking of grabbing a subscription.

Just picked up my new baby!!! :D
