Oh yes, badass

The riding in that video is as mad as it gets, I don't think a blur TR would last very long with some of those sideways landings :D

2 tires ordered form bike-discount.de on Friday morning - delivered to my office just now.

Crazy fast from Germany - that's very very impressive stuff.

£59.41 inc shipping.. couldnt complain at that price. just need to sneak them into the house, the missus will kill me for buying more bike stuff..

ive just been looking, they have a PAIR - "Schwalbe Hans Dampf Evo Snake Skin PaceStar/TrailStar Set" - for £55.

CRC its £90+

add about £5 for postage but it's still a substantial saving.

I got a Hans Dampf Evo Snake Skin trailStar 2.35 for the front and a Nobby Nic Evo Snake Skin PaceStar 2,25" TL-Ready folding for the rear - total cost was £52 inc postage. Cheaper than any UK place by about £20-£25.

I'm tempted to try a nobby nic on the back when its time to change, although i don't have any problems with hans dampf front and back, you just get used to what ever your using.

I've recently got some Hope Hoops on Flow EX's and am now thinking about switching to a tubeless rig, but I keep reading so many different things about how to set it up.

Is it just a case of sticking on the Stans rim tape, then some valves, getting the tyre on a bob's your uncle? I was going to get some of the Hans Dampf as mentioned above, are they a good combo?

Or do you also need the sealant stuff? Or is that only if you've not got tubeless rims/tyres?

Or do I simply need this kit - http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=49111

Help!

Yes that kit will do. What valves do you have in your rims at the moment?

I can't remember if fitting a presta valve to a rim thats been drilled out to a shrader valve will be ok or will it leak...

You dont have to use the tyre sealant if you have UST tubless tyres. The sealant will seal the tyres sidewalls as they will be porous. Best to use tubeless tyres. It'll also seal any small punctures you will have.

I'm just running some budget presta tubes at the minute.

The Hans Dampf jobbies are tubeless tyres, does that mean I do or don't need the sealant?

Watch this video - http://vimeo.com/34566369#

Get the kit you listed above - follow the video - simples. First time round it will take you a bit to do but pretty straight forward. no drilling needed with the valves and the rims you have already. Any tyres will seal using Stans - no need to get tubeless tyres.

Going to put my new tyres on tonight on my arch ex rims - having done it before, I reckon it's a 30 min job to change both tyres and reseal etc.
