still nothing from on-one (bike arrived with them on wednesday, I chased this morning as no updates at all) - got a reply saying that it's booked in the workshop this afternoon and the technician will check the bike and they will advise from there.

Seems to be going a long way away from previous emails that stated - "return it and we'll build you a new one". I'll put good money on them responding with - "it's been crashed so no replacement argument" which is absolutely not the case.

A GT that doesn't look disgusting!

Always4lora, braided lines are tougher in crash situations and will give a firmer feel on the lever when you have the brake fully locked, apart from that nothing major.

The price for Hill's frame is crazy, someone made a good point on pinkbike that it should have been done via a raffle system, thus you would still raise money but from a larger amount of people not just someone who can blow a massive amount and the rest of the public give nothing.

Yeah I saw that post. If it was $1 or £1 a ticket and the winner won the frame I would imagine there would be a lot more than seven thousand tickets bought.

So I made it, Fareham to Eastbourne, just under 100 miles, 10000 ft of climbing across the South Downs, great day out, pretty much ideal weather except the headwind. Flew through the first 50 miles in about 5.75 hours including stops, second wasn't quite so kind taking us closer to 8.25 hours. I really struggled the last 25 miles, but ground it out, although I don't think that was helped when this happened
