Got up late with the rain on so was almost set for a day of gaming and being a layabout.

Decided to get my arse out on the bike and ended up doing 40 miles.

Quite happy I took 5 mins off my last best lap time for Cathkin, still need to find 4 mins somewhere to match the best of the best.

I'd agree with Booyaka? that it is a little overgrown but most of it was fine, one bit got a bit jaggy due to nettles. The rest seemed fine though.

in my exerience with interparcel, the price includes £50 insurance cover, you can include higher cover for a small extra fee, i have used them numerous times, i usually end up picking TNT through them, brilliant service, great prices.

That can't be including some sort of insurance?

All good saving £10 when your forks disappear in the post.

Yeah i did take a bit of a risk:p. As above though you get £50 cover included with the option of higher cover if needed. I always pretty much go with either TNT or UPS and never had a problem, and ive sent loads over the past few years with no problems.

good work - 20 mins is no joke laptime wise.

Sent em via royal mail with upto £1000 insurance. £27 but better safe than sorry. Just hope i dont get a phone call from mojo saying i need a new set of stancions or damper :-/. This forkservice is gonna cost £150+ without complications!

I want a clutch rear mech aswell as some renthal fatbar lites so i can ditch me narrow easton monkeys which are a pathetic 685 wide :-(

Just two weeks till our trip up to Glentress/Inners, unfortunately however I've just read that there's some big diversions on the black at GT :(

Looking at the map that cuts out about a 1/3 of the whole trail! Anyone experienced know if we'll be missing out on some great sections or is it mainly the initial climb?

You are not missing much cutting that bit out, mainly the first climb. Post 73 is joining at the start of the good downhill bits, the best bit of the black route for me is Deliverance.

I think it just means you'll have to do the red climb up to the mast, and then do the black descents from there. I've never done the full black route, but that's what we usually do anyway if we're going to be doing black descents, as Dave says, Deliverance is the best bit and you'll still get to ride that.

This might look lame to most of you but im so chuffed i managed to hit it, only got my bike in January and never done anything like this before! Found it on Monday in my local woods and been thinking about it ever since, put 2 bottles of beer at the other side tonight and told my mate that if we do it we get to drink them!

He kept rly straight in the air while i obviously put my back wheel down, landed it ok and next time ill try a bit better at my technique!

Just a quick post to say that tf tuned are amazing! Currently on holiday but they have serviced my ccdba and after 11 months of ownership are changing the internal air can for a higher volume to help me get what I want out of the shock for no extra charge, parts and all. That is service!

I'm debating sending my shock to TF for a service, it's from 2005 and probably never been serviced, and getting a new shock is tricky since the sx has a weird shock size (9x2.75 iirc).

Varial - That looks pretty impressive for having only been riding since January! Well done! Did you hit it again after that or just the once?

Very good going Varial. :)

I got my Fox F120 RLC's back from TFTuned yesterday. Great service as usual. I got them to arrange courier pickup and delivery. so much less hassle. Had a 10 minute conversation with Dave about my requirements. After my extensive kerb tests I can say I am impressed with the results. :D

What does a 10min conversation about the requirements of your forks involve?

Mine would go like this "make them bouncy and smooth, kthnxbye"

I was asking about flex of the forks / front end. What I experienced. What can cause it. What I have tried. What to try. Forks to try. Mods to make.
