I must admit to being a sucker for the latest/greatest...

If I were you I'd order the top end DHX and wait. You buy the mid spec bike and you'll have the upgrade itch 6 months down the line.

I got the limited Edition Tues and will be waiting til at least March for that. Until then I'll concentrate on trashing my Demo. ;)

ArreuS listen to KieranV this difference is immense, Bantu is a lot better than the Titan (it was never a £600 bike, hint hint).

I got the Bantu for £350 ( last years model with the air forks ) after some haggling... they had one left unopened 18" frame in my local Halfords.

http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/...01&langId=-1&productId=786851&catalogId=10151

I paid cash and managed to knock em down to £350 by claiming I preferred the paint job.... the current model has inferior forks but I never mentioned this as the reason I wanted the older model. It was in the shop at £399 but they seemed to want rid of the old stock and I sensed it and went for the kill lol...

For a starting bike for an out of shape blob I think for £350 its a good spec... time will tell I guess!

I pick it up on Thursday ;)

Hey guys, i have an old specialized hard rock sport, so im looking to get a new bike, hardtail. I heard good things about the voodoo bizango 29er but cant find anywhere to buy it as halfords dont have it to collect in any of my local stores :( Can someone give me some suggestions please? thanks :)

AtreuS sorted, you got a good price!

Kieran aye you'd get accessories for free before money off a bike with us!

If anyone has a massive head and needs a new Lid Nema's own shop is selling the Player in XL/XXL on clearout for $150, international delivery is a crazy $56 but that is still $206 or ~ £125 for a top spec full carbon lid (No VAT to pay on CE marked Helmets and it is below the duty threshold) . Damn my medium sized head!

I'm sure you could make more money than that by stripping it and selling it for bits.

Too bad the bike looks hideous though :( Probably the paint job more than anything.

Well this sucks....

Was checking my bike out ready for a trip to Scotland and to my horror noticed the following...

Had a reply from commencal ...

Hello Sam,
Thank you for your email.

We apologize for the problem you got with your Meta Am. This problem is only cosmetic, this will not weaken your frame. Enclosed with this email, you will find a document who will show how to solve it, you have to grind a little the chainstay. To appologize for this problem, we will send you a mud-guard and touch up paint.

Best regards,
Jérôme.

To say i am disappointed is a understatement as i have looked after my bike like a work of art and i can live with the frame modification as it inst in a visible area and can be touched up with paint but the rear shock is permanently damaged! is it unreasonable to request a new shock? :(

I have attached the instructions for anyone else having this issue although it apparently only affected the first 2 batches of frames, just my luck!

Supposedly it has funky geometry, really short front end and fairly long chainstay...

Worth it for a beginner or to strip down but that's about it.

the shock casing is catching on the frame and worn it down slightly, its perfectly functional and isn't a major issue apart from i keep everything in perfect condition when i can and its going to niggle me! I have emailed them back so we shall see what they say :)

Shocking quality control. I wouldn't worried about your frame being weakened either, it's the shock. I would be trying to get a different shock off them which does not foul the frame

My dog corners like a housefly.

Had a very wet ride yesterday at Swinley to start burning off the extra 4kg hanging off me (yay Christmas water retention). Had a silly fall that's now hurting like a bitch!
