The only reason she's gone is due to that silly ***** going on about it for the rest of the evening it would seem. Flippent remark yes, but not exactly uncommon and what id call shocking...

so did she get chucked out for being racist or for using a racial slur? because if the first, she didn't seem to be using the word in a racist way at all, if the latter - charley used the same word, whether she's black or not, she used a racial slur.

Charlie said she wasn't offended by the comment but I think she secretly was.

I can see why she was removed to be honest.
No chance was she shocked - if shes such an IT girl in London more than liekly she is more than au fait with its use...

Shes very scheming as she re-raised it during the initial conversation several times ('oh im so shocked') and then told Shabnum who then confronted Emily and tried to stop Shabnum not to tell her who she heard it from...

Basically she wanted to make sure Shabnum doesnt go but ensuring this became a mountain. Im not defending racism but i doubt Charlie is that innocent considering her past...

Fair enuff, racist comment, straight out...a choice well made.

Im not 100% entirely sure that charlie was as offeded as she looked,it was more to do with the fact that she has compitition there, and that was a perfect oppotunity to exploit it.

For example when she said the word, charlie reacted, after a little chat charlie said its fine, lets stop talking about it, then 2 seconds later would bring it up again, then she would say.."lets not talk about it anymore" then she would dig it up again.. making it worse and worse

I don't think Charley was offended, just totally shocked at how stupid Emily was and I guess it just wasn't something she would have expected Emily to say in any circumstance (bearing in mind they haven't known each other long) never mind on national TV.

What Emily said was totally unnecessary and sounded a bit stupid in the context she used it.

What I dont understand is that do people really forget that they are on TV so that when they get away with something in the house they think they are in the clear?

I actually feel sorry for Emily for being a spoilt, naive and ultimately a stupid brat - if she hadnt worked out Charley by now she should have known to keep her mouth shut

Milking it yet again...

Charley as soon as shes nominated is out...

I have no problem with them saying its racist. But you cannot blame our kids for saying words like that if we allow black and white men/women to use that word in music and on tv.

Its become and acceptable word through the medium of music and now we blame the kids for using it.

Charley knows exactly what she is doing here, i have unfortunately been on the end of real racism and that wasn't the case here. Ok she used a racial slur which should not have been done but there wasn't any menace behind it.

A warning would have been enough but I'm disappointed in channel 4 and BB for not knowing the difference.

See now these faces she is pulling in the diary room is not really gonna endear her to the public.
