I've just walked into town - Leeds - and walked past Waterstones (the one near the top of the Headrow, for those of you who know it!) and expected - as I hear every single day - 'BIG ISSUE! BIG ISSUE' to be crying out from the same dude who's been doing it for years.
I couldn't see the bloke when I walked past and wondered if he'd perhaps moved on, got a job, whatever. Anyway, when I got closer I managed to see him crouched down.
I wondered why he wasn't screaming 'BIG ISSUE!' when I saw he was crouching down TEXTING on his MOBILE PHONE!
It wasn't even a crap phone lol! The guy had a really nice smart mobile phone, complete with camera! (I think it was Motorola!)
Has anyone had any similar experiences? (Thinking back to the Peter Kay sketch where he's congratulated by a Big Issue seller on Phoenix Nights, to which PK asks 'where have you seen it!? Dixons window!?
)
