Big macs bigger?

Rubbish, its just the same, Went to Popeyes to try and KFC, KFC was terrible and service was rude and Popeyes was awful.

How can you say its better when you have so many in a short distance.

I cannot say that this is what I have experienced. However, KFC is not one I have tried in america. The most recent thing I had in america was subway and there was a major difference to England, they must have had at least 3x as many different types of things to choose from as us as well.

Maybe, but at least we have the full English breakfast over here :-)

I hear you!

Burgers are the same but the meal sizes are different.

Here in Norway a normal meal is a large one in the uk. And a large meal is same size chips and drinks but with a double cheeseburger added.

Hmmm not like that here in Stavanger. A medium meal is the same as a UK large, and large is the same as UK supersize. Extra cheesburger is an option. And whatever you get it's just over double the price of the UK :(.

The really terrible thing over here, though, is the BK Bacon Double has sauce and pickles!!! WHAAAAAAAAAT!! I mean that disregard for any sort of garnish to provide a pure feast of meat, bread and cheese is what makes the Bacon Double great, and they have turned it into a Maccy Ds quarter pounder with bacon! :(

Oh and no KFC at all! :(

While Big Macs are nice, if i'd want a 'proper' (or as proper as fast food chains go) i'd go and get a Burger King burger.

I remember many years ago I went into a Maccy D's and asked for a big mac without mayonaise. The guy serving me said that big macs don't have mayo on them, he said they had "special sauce" but as he said it he winked at me. Now, that sent a shiver down my spine and i told him to cancel that order and I left.

WHY DID HE WINK!!!

Never had a big mac since, in fact I have probably only been back to mcd's a couple of times since and only for a sausage mcmuffin.

WHY DID HE WINK!!!

Because he was going to wan...never mind.

Aren't the American small portions bigger than a French large, or is that another urban legend ?

Here's the news article about supsersized portions being scrapped.

1302 in one meal, no wonder people are obese

Big Mac's do not live up to their name. i usually end up with a big mac meal + another burger + mcflurry and am still hungry after

1300 in a single meal isnt that huge surely provided you dont do it every day? I mean you've still got another 1200 calories you can eat that day..

Hehe, I know the guy who set up the Stavanger ones but sold them last year :)

Anyway here in Oslo it's like that. But I think they have more freedom to choose how to do their meals and what to have on in Norway.

If you got to to the States you're better off avoiding McDonalds and getting a Wendy Burger.

Sometimes there isn't one around, either way both are just somewhere you can grab a quick snack, rather than a proper mean.

All these comments about the chips is hilarious.

As an ex employee of McCains (I passed my truck test) I can inform you that they are ALL McCains chips

Hahahahahahahaaaaaaa

The only difference is... The QC at McCains cook them to the precise minute using the precise temperature and as a consequence they taste precisely awesome !!

They may all be made by McCains but they are made differently 100% certain (at least they used to be), or one of the shops is lieing about their ingredients, which AFAIK is illegal...;)

Over in the UK they are a waste of money. £5 + for a meal and it doesn't even fill you up yet so many calories in the meal. If you want a nice meal go to pizza hut, all you can eat buffet for £6. That'll fill ya up!

A meal has around 1000 calories. And nothanks! Pizza around 250-700 per slice.

 You know who's responsible for Stavanger Bacon Doubles having sauce and pickles!!?? Throw them before me!! Or you mean Maccy Ds?

Definately right. BK King fries have some sort of flour/starch on them that gives them a crispy, but imho too thick and battery, coating. I much prefer Maccy Ds fries. KFCs seem to always be not quite fried enough so slightly too soft.

I am not a food enthusiast, But every now and again I love a maccy d's.

Standard order being, big mac meal large, 6 chicken nuggets and a free cheese burger. Win.

Mcdonalds should not and never be healthy, it should be salty and full of all the bad stuff

kfc bargain buckets (or streetwise whatever they are called now) are listed as 700 odd, after finishing one to myself I looked it up and that's per person x 4. So I ate around 3000 calories in 1 go. ouch!
