i use my car for town driving and distance driving.

if i could have a car for each then it would be small and light for town/local driving and big car big power for the distance.

i love acceleration tho so for this poll would have to go with weight - the most fun car ive driven was a fantastic elise :D

i know you can nail your head to the headrest in any size car depending on power/torque, however i find that the smaller the car the more control i feel from the fast acceleration

I love huge V8 engines in cars.....

Im German, we have the Autobahn :P and a V8 power house with weight to keep me glued to the road :)

heavy with big power..

But then Hopfully one day it'll be resonably light. With glassfiber body panels.. (won't be light but lighter much lighter than book value)

All ready got an improved front end kit and saving up for improved front and rear shocks to help on handling..

I'm not one for throwing my car around the back roads and i'd never venture onto a track, I only ever put my foot down in a straight line :o so big power for me please!

I voted for big power.
I like the luxury of a weightier car, but with a stonking V8 in it. 2t and 60 still comes up in about 7 sec.

Would have preffered Option 3 to be lightweight and big power. The Cobra is 1045kg and a stonking V8 in that.

I do like my V8s

I wonder what the poll would look like if it was posted on an American forum? ;)

How about:
1. Do you want big power and weight
2. Do you even more big power, even more weight and off road ability
3. Would you like more cupholders

Lighter the better really, less then 1000kg, but I still want a Radical SR8 which has 363bhp and weighs 650kg. I know the engine can be tuned to at least 450bhp with just a boring kit to increase it from a 2.6L v8 to a 3.0L v8. Yes that would be nealy 700bhp per tonne, which i bet could be raised to 800bhp per tonne with some tuning.

the reason for this poll is i hear people say "well, its not good off the line but over 70mph it just pulls!"

which tbh, i find kind of pointless, i'd rather the other way round :)

You can make a big heavy car go as fast in a straight line, but you wont make it corner like a lightweight car.

Car manufacturers know this which is why cars like ferrari and porsche track models are so stripped down and lightweight

It's got to be light. All of the best cars I have driven and been out in have tended to be that way.

E60 M5, just isn't as much FUN as a lightweight nimble car, it's the interaction with the road that matters.
