Running win 7 in AHCI write back enabled and only 175 read and 97 write. Thats well under the score tested with AS.Also where is that check if trim works?

Trim:
Run in a CMD window (As admin)
Type (or paste)
fsutil behavior query DisableDeleteNotify
If it =0, then Trim is OK.

It could be becasue it is your boot drive?
I found my corsair to read under for this very reason.

edit: What is it with my double posting at the minute?? ffs.

It probably isnt slow, but other applications will also be accessing it at the same time! The only way to double check would be to plug it into a seperate PC as a second drive and run software to check it.
What port is it running on the mobo? Sata 2 or 3?

well, mine is the same if I test it via normal CrystalDiskMark. If you go in settings somewhere and make it fill 0x00 or something, then it was quick. Dunno exactly but I am having the same thingy... it doesn't feel 'slow' tho :)

I heard it has something to do with compression...

Right let's get a few things str8 first.

I take it that it's the new OCZ bigfoot yes?

And you are using ASSSD to bench?

What's your full results?
Which firmware does the drive have?
Which mobo and type of sata is it connected to?
How full is it?
What's your results with ATTO?

OCZ drives work differently to normal SSD so you must use ATTO to check it's speeds.

In fact repeated use of ASSSD is not recommended and each run will make your drive slower and slower.

Imagine you doing run and after run. That might be a weeks real hard drive use in an hour. Your drive will take a week of normal use to recover.

Bench these drives with ATTO Like ozc tell you to not as ssd and that will give you your true performance

this is worrying lol planning on getting one of these, procrastinating over it big time..

I wouldn;t worry yet. His scores are lower than what they should be, certainly lower than mine in ASSSD so there is sure to be something wrong.

Oh I always forgot, if on sata 2 intel port, are you using the latest Intel RST drivers?

I got 1 of these drives and having same issues as the OP. Not sure if I have it set up right or not as never owned an SSD before. Benched once with that AS app.

Same as OP really got mine for the OS and a game or two on it in time. As of now fresh OS install.

I have mine in Sata 3 (the 6Gb's sata port which is port 7 on the Gigabyte X58A-UD3R)
Firmware 1.22
88GB free
As for that ATTO, any recommended settings..?

Is this looking like what it should be..?

232mb reads and 219 writes is a little low.

Does that Gigabyte board use the marvel chipset for sata 3? If it does it's awful.

My ssd performs much better on the intel sata 2 socket so I put it back on their although later I discovered that many people say you get your performance back if you use the Microsoft drivers on the sata 3 instead of the Marvel ones especially since the stupid Marvel drivers don;t support TRIM

Only just built this system yesterday and today is the first time I booted it up and installed windows & updates etc... I used the gigabyte disk and saw that marvel thing and didn't install it. All I've puton from the mobo disk is the normal stuff like Lan driver, Chipset driver & USB 3 driver oh and gigabyte raid driver, although I doubt I need that anyway.

Just another question, can these SSD's be raided and if so would there be any benefit from raiding these?
