What about TRIUMPH?
I see what your saying but they do seem to fit into the safety bracket
"GearX biker jackets & suits made with A GRADE high quality cow hide leather 1.3mm & safety standerd for bikers on road or on track."
http://www.gearx.co.uk/about.php
Spend £50 then, it's your skin.
I agree what your saying totally..I was just asking the question.
Is this a good make?

RST are recognised as the entry/low level brand. By no means anything wrong with them. I have a pair of their boots, gloves and am awaiting some leathers.
Chances are nobody is going to have tried the ones you find. I've seen lots of people during my MC training that have bought jackets that are all far too big.
Get in to a shop and get a a member of staff to help size you up. Leather should be tight and not twist or shift. They will be stiff to begin with but will give with time just like a pair of new shoes.
Think I am to buy myself some new leathers. When I passed 2 years ago I bought some Frank Thomas stuff in George White in their kinda outlet store, had a hole in the leg in next to no time, the stitching is a bit naff in places, leather tabs on the wrist collar things came off.
Got some Frank Thomas gloves that are showing wear on the thumb from indicatios and are generally quite poor as well.
Agree with who ever said about buying quality I mean that happened to mine just from sitting on a bike and using them to move about, god knows what it would be like if I did come off :s
Was looking at getting some RST stuff as some of theirs looks quite nice and from the bits I have seen instore appear better quality or at least better made and not as naff as my current ones.
