Bike Meet Motivation

Yes lol, worryingly you can hear it on a few peoples TD videos, surprised they dont lock the rear end up more often, specially on the twins and triples.

After fitting the slipper clutch on the race bike it was so hard to un-train myself to feed the clutch out gently. It takes care of all that for you so you really do just need to dump the clutch lever out and concentrate on braking and turn in.

Things I need to do:

To make it rideable:
- Finish wiring new alternator and series reg.

To make it look nice:
- Put on right footpeg rubber/hero blob (cheers ebay)
- Purchase new bar end weight
- Purchase new bikini panel thing

Im done!!!

Got out for a little ride today as well, make sure the new shock is set up about right, odd few drops of rain and numb thumbs but hell it was fun!

:D

Where are thinking of going to get it set up correctly out of interest? I would like my suspension set up for me to ensure it is correct for my height/weight etc. I'm not really up to speed on any suspension places around here.

Most likely either Moto Rapido or Pro Twins. Went to Pro Twins for my 748, they did simply an amazing job on the bike, transformed it.

However, I want to give Moto Rapido a chance and see what they can do.

do they only do suspension setup on Ducati's? that is the impression I'm getting from their websites :(

You could try Steve Jordan who is meant to be pretty damn good with bike setup. I've not had my own done by him but raced plenty of people who have, including him and his wife Sarah (yes they are both quicker than me, by some margin :() and the bikes always seem on the money.

Thanks buddy, I will get in contact with them in the next few weeks.

Sorry bit of a thread hijack, but how are you going to do this and what sat nav do you use?

I've got either my iphone or the Garmin out of my car. It doesn't matter if they are waterproof or not because I have an oxford sealed waterproof bar mounted holder. The 12v socket is a kit off ebay like this one:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/12v-Motorcycle-Auxilliary-Power-Socket-New-Low-Price-/330674390181?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item4cfdbac4a5#ht_930wt_1396

And here's the satnav holder:

Parts I need to change:

Front + rear disk's and pad's
Sparks (irridum)
Air/oil filter
Chain and sprockets
Rear shocks (hagon)
Front tire (Avon Roadrider)
New liquids (oil/brake/coolant)

Not sure all of them need to be changed, but I've not had the bike long and want to change them for my own piece of mind.

1. Polish a lot of chrome.

I've untold chrome to polish up & it's all been covered in FS365 for ages as well so it will be a fair old job getting it clean & polishing it all up, I'll do it in a few 2-3 hour sessions I s'pose. + :p

Ouch! Good luck with that.

I'm more worried because I didn't cover my bike in FS365. Hoping there's some chrome left to polish, and not just a pile of rust.
