I believe that'll be from 800-off miles to Wales and back this weekend!

I connect mine up to the PC quite often so it's updated every week or so, if you're waiting months between updates then I can imagine it takes a while. If there's an actual software update it takes 10-20 minutes, but a map/speed camera update takes a few minutes normally.

Mine gets done every few months as that's as often as it gets used so that may explain it or it may just be slow when connected to a Mac.

Ended up 13 turned up so the 14 of us took a run out over to Swarkestone Bridge. I got to say though riding in a group is **** most of the time, People not keeping up or not knowing how to ride in a group so it gets split so I had to stop a few times. In the end I stopped then walked down the line of 13 bikers & explained to them that if they ignore the guy behind & keep following the dude in front then I will keep going & it will all get ******* up, I mean it's not Rocket science is it. My fault I s'pose I just took it for granted they all knew "Group Riding" & should have checked before I set off in the lead. Can you believe somebody even turned up with No fuel I mean I ask you
At the pub/stop I told them to get into groups between where they were going off to, Who was staying out longer & Fast boys & Slow Boys :p I said my goodbyes & enjoyed the hell out of the ride home. I'm going to take the time to write out a Group Riding Post before the next one then go round individually & make sure they all know what's what as I couldn't ride like that again it was a right waste of good riding time if you ask me.

Kept the belly pan off the Fazer so I could check the Filter & the drain plug for leaks & I'm pleased to say it came back dry as a bone. I'm going to leave the belly pan off as it gives me good access as I plan on getting the paint out tomorrow whilst the weather is still nice.
Think I'll get up bright & early in the morning then head out & get a new chain & sprockets & fit those tomorrow, Maintenance first, Cosmetics second. :D

I'll be having a mini training session for the ocuk alps tour next year.

I have the XR1100 rollin, get your own helmet... :p ;)
Didn't you have the GT Air? I'm getting confused who has what lol...

I did a quick trip to Cambridge and back, I rode around the town a bit. I haven't seen so many fit girls aged 19-23 in 1 town for quite some time. :p

Cambridge is really nice, the town centre especially. I wouldn't mind living there.

How was the mileage? I found that 800 miles over 2 days was too much - although the 3-4 hours of motorway on the way back was what really killed me.

Not too bad, we got there in good time and got the boring bit out of the way quickly, too quick really as we're expecting a ticket through the post because of the M6 cameras. First day I ached a little but today it was just horrible, like you felt, motorway on the way back was bad. There was also an accident on the M40 so that slowed is down.

Yeah the traffic on the motorway was really bad for me, M4 and M25 was nose to tail or 40mph a lot of the way, I was actually ill that evening/the next day it took that much out of me.

My upcoming Moselle valley trip has nice easy days, 300 miles the first and last day (both with 160 miles of motorway), then a 150 mile 2nd day, and 200 mile 3rd day. I'll have a day extra in Cochem and it looks like there's some awesome roads around that area so i'll have a ride out and do some touristy stuff, have a walk round the town and enjoy some beers :D

Thumbs up for the Dainese Bonneville Slim Kevlar Jeans :)

Super lightweight and what I use for popping to the shops and back. Wouldn't wear them for any spirited riding though.

Thanks for the heads up. I just went with the Oxford ones, don't think 38 waist and slim go together. I will only wear them for when I go to work on or any local runs. 1 piece leathers are for my Thursday run :D

I've got a k&n filter on mine, so much easier to get on and off! Should come with a bolt head as standard!

Motul get good reviews, I've used castrol stuff but on my next oil change I'm going to give motul ago :)

I've switched to using Motul 7100 for my last couple of changes, just under £40 for 4lt but it's a pretty red colour and smells nice!
