Not know especially, they have some issues - which is why I said get a late bike - but, at the end of the day, it's an Italian 1000cc v-twin. Not the sort of bike to run if you want to save money! :D

The only way you'd get one at that price would be a 'high' mileage bike or a write off. There's a 22k 09 plate one in Rochdale for £4695.

Prices vary wildly, there one in the same colour and year as mine up for £7k at a dealer...

How about a CB1000R? They go for decent money now?

I'm looking at the cb1000r but from what I've read, 125bhp from a 1000cc is rather boring with it being an il4, mcn are quoting 101ft-lb of torque but I don't know how accurate that is, the Nuda was 106bhp with 77ft-lb of torque, anything below that will feel like riding a 125 again :D

That torque on the CB1000R will be pretty high up the rev range though, and there won't be much below it. More powerful, more modern IL4s have a good deal more grunt lower down unless they're some silly super bike spec.

KTM 990 Superduke? MCN say:

"There is surely nothing more frenetic on two-wheels than the KTM 990 Super Duke short of sticking a nitrous kit, a jet turbine and a flame-thrower into the frame of a fold-up bicycle."

Are they known for dishing out big bills then?

No, but do you research or you'll change your mind again in a fortnight.

That was written quite a few years ago now though.

I've got some more time off next week, I'll make a list and use tat time to go round and check them all out.

I've taken a liking to the MT-07, down on power but can be picked up for under 4k, I don't think the MT-09 will go through my gate easily, same size bars as on the Nuda.

I think Clov!s is taking up 4T5's mantel when it comes to bike switching.

I was thinking the same as I wrote that :D

Also, saw these on FB and thought I'd share

All things considered, it's actually quite flat. It's tuned to give decent torque throughout and cut a chunk of power. It's one of the reasons i'm interested in the bike.
