Didn't have time to leave a note but now I'm seething and 99.9% sure they knocked it over. Do these things ever just 'break'?
In short no.
A crash bung will not just magically shear off without some serious force.

Just snatched one of those up to collect from store on Friday. Certainly cant complain for £200.

I try to be uber neighbour & the last thing I do is start the bike, I am sat on the bike ready to pull off the back yard then start it ride down the jitty & off up the road & away. This bikes not noisy at all compared to previous bikes but I still keep the noise down to a minimal then when I'm working on the bikes & having a rev I don't feel as bad.
As far as for the good of the engine though you are s'posed to just start it up on choke then back it off choke until it ticks over nice then ride off taking it easy for a couple of miles gradually building up to having a properly warmed up engine/bike by around 6 miles. Once warmed up & fully off the choke you should take it up high in the revs a few times to clear it's throat.
The theory behind it is An engine shouldn't be left to tick over on choke as the enriched mixture will soot up the plugs & generally coke up the engine.![]()

Mine is an automatic choke, from now on I'll just get onto it and ride off, doesn't really have chance to warm up though in the mornings as my work is less than 1 mile away![]()
Walk you lazy beggar you're killing the bike!

Edit: This is what I call a close call...

I experienced my my closest near miss today!
I think it was more a perfect storm of conditions, which led a guy to pull right out in front of me. His view was partially blocked by a big car turning left, but he'd have seen me coming all down the road.
I did start braking as I had a feeling he'd do it. He was actually looking in the opposite direction for most of it, then avoided looking at me as he rode off.
Good Spot! You have to look round parked traffic like that. You took it a lot better than I could have TBH
