Entered my first ever trial on the 37 year old Beamish on the 11th sep.
did better than I expected, I came 1st in twinshock class and 4th overall in my level against modern bikes only a few years old.
I'm Andrew wright in the results and even got mentioned in the review

One really annoying thing I've noticed about my Dainese Air frame jacket is that whatever material it's made from seems to soak up sweat and cling onto it. It goes from fresh from the washing machine to stinking in about 3 days!?

Neither my leathers or my Furygan textile jacket suffer and you'd imagine I'd sweat more in both of those.

Luckily I suppose unlike those 2 the air frame is quick and easy to throw in the machine and get dried.

Ordered a full arrow system, arrow can with removable baffle, full decat pipes and link pipe, cba waiting until next year for titanium headers and thought that £650 was too much just for the leovince end can.

I've got the full arrow system and exhaust for less than the price of the leo can!

maybe try some underarmour or airsim kind of thing underneath

So do these performance exhausts actually make a noticeable difference to performance? I know when I was a kid that they made a huge difference on two stroke engines but I can't see it making that much on a four stroke, are they mainly for cosmetic and aural pleasure or do they really squeeze a few more BHP out of an engine?

Depends if you have it set up correctly, a full system with a power commander and a custom map might see a few bhp gain but it's more for aesthetics and sound for me.

Most cat boxes on exhausts really stricken the sound so when people fit full systems with the cat removed, it allows for a more deep sound.

The newer the bike the less impact they have.

These days you need to de-cat, de-servo and flash the ecu on top of a new slip on to see minor gains.

It's just done for noise and weight on anything since the turn of the century.

I test drove the 1299 panigale s the other day. Holy ****!

Crazy fast. Super uncomfortable. Time machine.

It didn't really feel fast (my bike somehow feels faster) but when you look down you realise it definitely is faster. Must be something to do with the fairing and how smooth it is.

It was my first time riding a sports bike so the position was completely alien to me. My balls got crushed, my hands hurt and my back ached.

I loved the quick shifter, 2nd to 1st was a bit iffy but other than that it was perfect.

A very lumpy engine below 4k rpm. Lumpier than my ancient twin. It's a time machine because 40 minutes went by in what felt like 10.

I had a look at insurance just out of interest....£3k
