Apparently I have forgotten to rinse off the Dr Downpipe after cleaning the headers 2 months ago. I will do it today as I have plans to wash the bike. Will have to ensure I do it properly without spraying water where I shouldn't.

I may use a sponge and soak it in soapy water to rinse rather than hose, will see.

Why the brainwave today? I was doing some light reading on motorcycle cleaners and then stumbled upon header cleaning. Hope I haven't screwed it by now. :o

Two months! Please post an update on how they turned out...

I think Nikwax helps with removing bug residue from the helmet visor easily. I had a few bug splats on the visor on my way to to work. I expected the last one to cake in as I still had couple of miles to go. But it didn't stick, I noticed that once I reached my workplace.

Cleaned of the residue with a damp kitchen towel and foamy hand-wash on it. All good.

Was on my way this morning for the yearly Service and MOT for the Bird. Noticed 3 elderly scooter riders go past me. The Lambretta esque.

I had stopped at the lights at the time. Waved at first, no response, second one the same. So I ignored the 3rd guy. :D

I will give the benefit of doubt to them because of their age they were concentrating a lot more. I am not waving first next time. :p

To be fair, those Lambretta / Vespa crowd are generally all bellends who won't interact with anyone who isn't on one of their six-billion-mirrors things themselves. I've noticed this quite a few times too.

If it was me I'd have given you a wave before leaving your 'Bird in the dust.

The Bird passed its MOT albeit with one advisory for the front pads wearing close to limit. Have ordered 3 sets of EBC Double H sintered pads for both front and rear from Amazon as I saved some money avoiding delivery charges.

Jaws motorcycles had £8.95 delivery and Demon Tweeks at 5.95.

The rear had 2.3 mm left but I thought if I have to do the fronts, I might as well get the rear sorted. The reason being the complex nature of bleeding the Combined Braking System my bike has. I can have the garage do it once rather than go there twice for labour charges. I mean it may not make any difference to labour charges but I will save the hassle of going there two times and wasting time.
