Bikers Youtube thread

That's because they are :D 0-60 in...about an hour :D

They feel fast at first because of the wind, and how exposed you are, but the feeling of speed soon does away. It happens on big bikes too, your first big bike feels insane when you open the throttle fully for the first time, and doing 70-80mph on SC NSL roads feels like a million miles an hour, but a year or so later you're at full throttle in every gear and 70mph is a cruising speed on a SC road... :D

Ahah yeah. First few times out on my current bike, it seemed to be yanking my arms out of my shoulders. Now it's just normal :D.

I wonder what the motorcycle accident stats would be like if you factor out all the crazy people who crash for no reason, like in that previous youtube clip. Perhaps I'm in the confident stage, but finding it hard to fathom how you can crash solo in such a way.

What a nutter, he could have just rode throug the gap!

That would have been very risky; the bus was already indicating to pull out and there's no guarantee the bus driver saw him approaching.

Clearly he wasn't paying attention to what was in front of him, and panicked when he realised he was approaching a (very large and visible) hazard. Even at that point he could have stopped safely, but he's on a wet road and just jammed the front brake on.

If he aimed for the gap and braked like a normal person he'd have stopped before it got dangerous. To be fair any normal person would never get in that situation as they'd be riding with their eyes open!

MY SV650 whilst unrestricted on private roads for the first few days was like orgasm. :D Now... well, no comment.

I've been riding my SV650 for a year and a half now, and it still feels bloody quick to me, at least up to 70mph.

I keep looking on Autotrader at bigger capacity bikes and I badly want a big super sports, but all things considered, the SV is pretty much the perfect middle distance commuter. I keep coming back to the S1000RR as being the friendliest super sports for commuting, but I just can't get on with the look of its headlights. As stupid a reason as that is!
