Bikers Youtube thread

Both at fault there and I'd never filter up a road like that at 20, as he said he was, as it's too quick to easily stop if something happens, like a kid you may not see because of the cars, stepping out. Also that van on the right could have moved out and swung into the way.

But hindsight is wonderful. Hopefully she never made it to the supermarket to get in the way of younger people who don't get in the way in my local Morrisons. Grrrrr.

Agreed with the above but I'd place more blame with the motorcyclist as he should be more responsible. I saw the danger with loads of time to stop, I showed the video to the Mrs and she noticed the danger with about 3s to spare.

A lesson taught to both though hopefully they will pay more attention in future.

What you see is not necessarily what the biker sees as the camera is obviously well above his eye line.

This.

Woman didn't even glance over to see if there were any cyclists/bikers filtering.

He was going a little quick, but if I had to choose I'd say it was her fault.

Amazing how people think they are stronger than steel. She never even looked when stepping off the pavement infront of the car. As above what the camera see`s is not what you see.

Her fault totally, and 20mph seems fine enough to me down that road, with a check now and then at them nasty junctions.

While the view of the camera isn't going to be the same as the rider's pov, the woman's head is higher than a car as is the biker's head.

Maybe it looks ok to a regular commuter but from the pov of a rural rider I think it could have been avoided, either way it was an accident that could have been avoided.

The pedestrian looked very visible from that camera POV, but he really wasn't going that fast. The wide angle on the camera makes it look faster than is really is, and when he hit her he'd braked to the point of almost being at a standstill.

Neverthless, tough old girl. Quick one-liner and she was off and running again :)

RJ's new bike

Want.

I can see me picking one of these up in a few years once they've hit the used market and I've done my full test and a couple of years on a 600.

Nice, although i struggle to see the point of that much power on a naked. Anything above 70mph without a fairing is pretty horrid. Although i guess you can say that about any big naked big.
I'm sure it will be a hoot though! :)

Its surprising what you can hang onto, besides it doesn't take long to build up your neck muscles. :p

i had 135mph out of my old Street Triple (on the straight at the 'Ring). I literally felt like i was clinging on for dear life.

I see it as licence protection :D

75 on the varadero (small screen, may as well not have it) and the wind blast is starting to get noticeable, can imagine over a ton would start to get bad.

Thats the fun of naked bikes, its that constant brown trousers feeling when your "making progress". :D

Tried a ton sitting up on my naked bandit, couldn't manage it for long but I do have the upper body strength of a kitten

I've done around 100-110 on my, virtually naked, bike on a private road of course and I wouldn't want to do that for too long. Being tall and very broad shouldered doesn't help. 80 on a motorway is my limit I think.

I recently purchased a pair of Norman Hyde Peashooters for my Bonneville.

The sound difference is night and day. It sounds like a motorbike now and really brings back that old school sound.

I put together a short video/review showing off it's new sound.

Have a watch and see what you think.

Really pleased.
