Mivvs are mental, i nearly ordered a X-Cone for my Hornet, im glad I didn't now as i don't enjoy riding with insanely loud exhausts.

my old exhaust was a Danmoto from China (came with the bike) which i doubt had any packing in it and was crazy loud, even ear plugs didnt help and was hard work to ride with

my new Fuel Exhaust without baffle is loud (105db @ 6500rpm) with a nice grumble but loud enough so i can actually enjoy riding the bike

i may be getting old!

Saw a '14 MT07 at the Triumph dealer on Saturday. Wasn't impressed with the quality of them at all - both handlebar grips split and stickers on the fairings had all started to peel away really badly.

Saying that though, the thing still had its original tail and a tax disc holder, so the owner probably didn't care for it.

not with the race kit fitted it doesn't! although it's not road legal with that I think

It does sound like a 125 with the normal exhaust.. but that's typical Honda for you... make something very good and exciting but the end result is a little soulless

Decent bikes, and cheap now - £8000 for a 145bhp torquey IL4. They lack a bit in electronics (TC and ABS and that's your lot) and the throttle is a little snatchy, but they're good. I rode one last year.

They certainly seem the part. I need to have a go because after my GSX650 and riding a VStrom 1000 and GSR 750. I'm not going looking for another Suzuki. I'll be looking Honda and BMW. The refinement and quality is just much better IMO.

It sounds horrific. How did Honda manage to make one of their (usually lovely sounding) V4's sound so bad?
