i am about to install a rtx 2080.
would i need to flash the bios to make sure the new gpu is compatible?
the reason i ask is that on my old pc i had a gtx 660.
i bought 2 gtx 908's.
both when installed caused a very slow boot up.
put the gtx 660 back in...fine!
put the 2 980's in a different newer pc build...fine!
i have heard of bios compatibility issues, and the case above does seem like one to me.
the most recent bios my mobo it is on is 1902 (2016).
there is an update to 3802 (2018).
trhe download page just states:
Improved system performance.
Updated Intel CPU microcode.
Improved DRAM compatibility.
