Bird in my garden which can't fly anymore (cat attacked it)

Should I just leave it there for the cat to deal with? Or would it be more humane to put it out of its misery?

Set-up a webcam for the Cat -vs- Bird DEATHMATCH!

Perhaps give the bird little claw-knives to even the odds a bit?

Though judging by the evil look in that bird's eye, it looks ready to pounce while the cat ain't looking :p

*slaps forehead*

How could I miss the obvious comment

Kill it with orbit fire from nuke High-Five!

I can see how concerned you are, as you stopped to take a photo before rescuing the bird...

Anyways, i was in a similar situation. I had the bird in my hand, and when i put it down it refused to fly. I picked it up again, wondering whether it was borked - so decided to put it in the front garden away from the cat and let it makes its own choice...

It then flew off

Put the cat out if it's misery mate.

Take the bird inside and microwave it.

Then eat pasta off the floor and find out if coffee bleeds.

Just throw the bird up in the air good and high above a hard surface. If it wants to fly it will, if it doesn't its out of its misery? ;)
